Buster the Slopes Hound, who firmly believes the old adage it isn't the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog
IOTN -
First thing i mentioned a while back, Lady Slopes potentially had an issue with a lump but it turned out to be a benign cyst thankfully.
Second thing - hospital have been fairly useful for a change, so no hoops to jump through this time
Third thing - despite GP's being next to useless and refusing to prescribe a certain medication - iirc it's about £2k a month - and passing the buck back to Addenbrookes, they've promptly gone and done exactly what they said they wouldnt.
Oh well, i can go and hold loads of people up tomorrow driving through the south west
Really pleased to hear that Lady Slopes is in the clear old chap and it sounds like your mess are being sorted too!!!
He's had his hair cut so looks less like that now but he does make a racket when he sets too! You'd think we had some sort of Doberman/Rottweiler/Velociraptor/Werewolf hybrid in the house but he is soft as the proverbial

As a mark of respect to glenners and his family, I have decided to postpone tonights' TTFNQ until tomorrow.
I trust you all understand?
Thankyou so very much, Cap'n, that is greatly appreciated. I trust you all understand?
I hope to join in the Quiz tomorrow evening.
It's been an emotional day, but we gave my Baby Bro a very good send off.
The cortège started from outside the old family homestead at the top of the village High Street, all the way down the hill past the village green, our old primary school, my brother's house next door, and then on to the church. The whole route was thronged by applauding village residents, friends and distant family, and I felt immensely sad but proud to walk beside my widowed Sister-in-law and young Monty behind the hearse. I was the person she chose to give her away at their wedding some years ago.
It was a lovely ceremony; I gave my Eulogy, and the lady vicar, Helen, led the covid-limited mourners in an uplifting service celebrating Paul's life and high regard in the community.
I am indebted to everyone, especially all of those who waited outside in the rain for the duration.
He was certainly one of a kind, a much loved husband and father who will be greatly missed.
He was, a keen football fan, and would have been most disappointed with the National team's performance this evening.
It was like watching celery go limp.
I have had a few whiskies, and have come to bed relatively early to recharge my batteries.
Nite nite all, thanks for caring.

If you wear your blue nitrile accoutrements through the arrivals lounge, I'll pick you up at the airport.
Bobbers, I think you shod wear something else as well. The Kiwis may get rather alarmed at the sight of all your goosebumps on display. It does require a period of gradual acclimatisation.
Good morning all.
It's a bit like a NZ winter morning here in Essexland, dull & overcast, but there's no snow line because there's no topography above 100metres, never mind 500m.
But the rain has stopped.
I was woken by my snoring half an hour ago, so I got up and made a cup of tea. I'm now sat in bed waiting for other signs of stirring in the house. Unusual for the grandkids to sleep so late, but they did have a very busy day yesterdayand were unusually late to bed. Big George was obviously shattered, but fought it bravely until finally succumbing to the sheep count.
Slopes, glad to hear that her Ladyship is all clear, hope the weather Bucks up for your holibobs, but I'm sure you'll enjoy your break.
Buster looks well up for a good time!

It's a deal!!! Although the green mankini, riggers boots and pork pie hat are usually enough for people to identify me!!!paua said:
Been absolutely pissing down all day at sea-level & snowing a little higher up. Thinking of growing rice in the back paddock.
I'm ledto believe that the New Zealand climate is very much like our own, so if the last couple of days are anything to go by, torrential rain is coming your way!!!Tre Zero said:

Do you have proof.......asking for a friend obviously!!! Wondering whether to take part in Saturday
Might go back to bed .
Meh !
Although now would be a good time for a bare hug.....I like bare hugs....not everyone else does.....apparently it's the unnecessary grunting and copious amounts of body hair that puts people off!!!
IOTN I've just discovered that a steam train will be going through our local train station tomorrow at 1430hrs, a good excuse to get my new camera out I think!!!
