Get to see page 3 of this thread.

Looks like the hamsters have overheated.

Meh.

Always wanted to race and planned on doing so until about a year ago. Still hope but will take a huge amount of compromise from my wife and not sure in those circumstances if I will want to.

Travel with my wife. I go all over the place for work would love to have company one day.

Tour Europe in a Ferrari. Have access to the car just not going to happen. Hoping to do it in mini breaks.

Not sure I will be stress free until I die now.

Fly a passenger jet and move to Scandinavia. Always has aspirations of doing the former as a career but just after i qualified marriage and family got in the way.

Still could do the latter but brexit has made it significantly harder frown
Given what has happened to the aviation industry with Covid perhaps you dodged a bullet.

I’ve lived and worked in three countries outside the EU so definitely possible, even if you don’t have a right to go there.
Id be coming up on retirement now so probably a good time to go...but with a nice pension if id worked for one of the major airlines. Ive done OK and am about 18 months off it now. We could call it a day now but waiting for our youngest to start uni.

Id quite happily move to Scandinavia but would have to go through the arse ache of trying to get citizenship now instead of just pitching up and buying a house. Friends who have property in the EU but are still UK citizens are finding it a pain in the butt now the rules have changed.

Become a Dad.

Sadly I married someone who afterwards told me she didn't want any children. By the time I met someone who did, it was too late. Bit of a bugger 'cos I'm adopted, there's no name under 'father' on my birth certificate.

I was fortunate enough to tick that box, twice. It was a bizarre experience in some ways, but the biggest thing I took away from the experience, is that the toilet was rubbish. Well that and the unbelievable quality of the food and drink.

I’m never sure about this sort of thing, personally speaking. I’ve always been a bit of a ‘go with the flow’ type. I’ve never really set goals, it hasn’t been a problem, with hindsight. I’m not sure if there is anything that I thought I would do, but now won’t.

Thought I'd have kids and be married late 20's, certainly. Now 32 and no sign of either. (Thought I do have a partner of 11 years, so I guess the marriage thing is now by choice.)

Are you trying to say that you managed to block Concorde’s toilet yikes

That’s akin to treason, isn’t it?

even psychos need a bit of company and to feel loved from time to time.

I didn’t achieve that goal, but it was very rubbish, and I would be surprised if someone didn’t.

I always wanted to get into display flying, specifically piston warbirds like Spitfires and Mustangs. I did fly with a historic display team for a while, but flying something on a much, much lesser performance level although it was great fun. I then lucked into a job flying a Tiger Moth taking people for 'Irvin leather flying jacket and goggles' vintage flying experiences and hoped on the side the operator had connections to the bigger stuff but it was a dead-end.

There're a few at my regular job that go off to work at Duxford and Sywell at weekends flying everything from Harvards to Vought Corsairs and T9 Spitfires but I've really missed the boat. I'm in my 50s now and it's no secret that the warbird operators are looking for younger talent to come up through the ranks to be entrusted with the machines that fly at Flying Legends. I fly a fun, reasonably high-performance aerobatic aeroplane at work but no longer have the dedication to do a 160 mile round-trip to Duxford at the weekends to do trips in a Tiger or Rapide to try and get noticed and onto the 'ladder' to the meatier stuff. Hats-off to those who do; I know a lot of people that fly 6 or even 7 days a week aiming to get noticed and into the inner circle at The Fighter Collection or Aircraft Restoration Company.

Work abroad. Had chances didn’t do it which I now regret…that said the “sliding doors” have generally been kind to me in adult life so may well end up living abroad once my kids are through education.

Bit of travelling yet to do, Australia and New Zealand and maybe a bit more of the USA, but that’s not happening now mainly due to health reasons.
