There we are, Blue Monday.

If anyone wants to dig their Joy Division stuff out and give it a whizz on the old Dansette, knock yourself out smile

I have returned safely from the dystopian wilderness that is Tesco on a grey Monday morning.

Safely, though I had to negotiate a village full of traffic, as there's been an accident "affecting both lanes" of the by-pass, and a broken down coach in the village itself. And a set of three-way temporary traffic lights which weren't there on my outward journey an hour before. I'm sure that I would have noticed them.

I'm now enjoying a cup of George Clooney's favourite coffee, and contemplating my next move. Or, indeed, whether to bother moving at all.

This week, I have my annual blood test, so until Thursday I'm mostly eating salad and drinking water. Which might explain my bad mood. Beer and curry on Friday, though.

Carry on.

Good morning Trivialites wavey

Monday Monday.

Fats Domino? That certainly takes me back, Witters. yikes

For me it's either The Mamas & Papas, or the Bangles. cloud9
Just Another Manic Monday...

Oh, I'd better carry out The Elbow Test in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
Excuse me a moment...

Nope! No wood detected, so I'm good for a frantic day of wet weather activities.
No, I don't mean watersports. I don't even possess a wet suit.
I did once spill some wine on my lap* at a formal dinner dance, but luckily it was a dark suit so nobody noticed. smile

* That's my excuse anyway.whistle

Today I'll be mostly sorting out my wardrobe. I'll need holiday clothes for next mumf, and I'm afraid my mankini seems to have shrunk quite alarmingly since I last wore it for cavorting in the summer of 2018, and I wouldn't want to frighten the children. yikes Besides, I have darned it so many times, it's beginning to look rather shabby. Taut but shabby. frown

I like that Darth Putin Twitter thing, Pushfit, but after a quick glimpse of a few posts, they blocked me and asked me to sign up. They will have to struggle on without me, I'm afraid.

12 foot ladder gets you to see a few more tweets rather than just the first few

Russia will have to join NATO for protection against Ukraine.

I remain a master strategist.

That's brilliant!

But also an unnecessarily tragic situation for Ukraine for the past 8 years.

I know, but that would make a mess of the clean bathroom.

Greetings, earthlings.

It's a bit grey and dull outside today but the torrential rain last night was very welcome for the garden. It's Monday so that means analysing numbers from last week. Anyone got any numbers they want analysed?

Ooh, yes please, Mallard! bounce

Can you make a list of all the prime numbers up to 29,379 and convert them to binary for me?

No particular reason, I just hate to see anyone with a loose end.

Thanks. wink

Yes. That encapsulates Ironic TrIvialism for you.

So sad. frown

You could always go in the sluice room, suspend from the ceiling hook a watering can full of cold water with a pull cord attached to the spout, strip off and voilà, a refreshing shower for you, whilst maintaining the pristine sparkling condition of your bathroom.
You're welcome. thumbup

That's a pretty healthy diet for a growing lad. Be careful weaning him on to Lego, it can be rather fattening and before you know it, he'll be hooked on watching the Aussie V8 SuperSaloon Series.

Anything happening on the Sprogging front yet?
Fingers crossed all goes well.
Please keep us informed, and let us know if you need any help with the head-wetting. smile

It's a slippery slope indeed!!!

Today I have completed a compulsory security and IP (Intellectual Property) course, raised four IT software tickets, helped generate a tooling list and had a meeting!!!

There was a really good documentary on the Ms & Ps on one of the freeview channels last Christmas (it'll probably be shown again sometime), hit after hit, they wrote some cracking songs, all beautifully recorded too. Back then US recording studios were way ahead of British ones, the Beatles were pushing the limits of four track machines on 'Sgt.Pepper' while over in the states they had 16, 32 and (I think) 72 track recording machines. Trivial, boring stuff to most people I'd imagine but I'm fascinated by it.

The Ms & Ps liked their cars to... driving

GR if you think you can fix my loose end I'm all ears!

Bobbers, that sounds like quite the productive morning you've had there. Battert was brewing up a batch of his nerve and brain tonic at the weekend and I think you'll need some after such a busy day!
