Red wine at 20:45 on a Monday night - desperate measures on both accounts.

hammo! I am forever in your debt. You've reminded me there is half a bottle of Chateauneuf de Pape left over from the weekend!

Red wine at 20:50 on a Monday night?

I'm in.

ION: What's the collective opinion of the Renault Alpine A110?

I've been thinking about buying one for a fair time now. But things have to go right financially first.
Most of the time I think it's a decent investment aswell as lots of fun.
I'm not sure I'm brave enough with my hard earned money though.
They are a fair bit more expensive here also.
Another thought is I could buy something much cheaper that would still give pleasure.
Whatever i buy,if I buy,has to be track focused though.

Local dealership not too far away so might just pop in and try for size albeit I was close to one the other day and thought, wow, nice lines which sparked my interest? Unlike you, I'm not looking for a track day car though, so the base spec would suit me just fine and appears plenty fast enough.

Interesting to read no negative replies hereabouts, so residents must look upon it favourably?

Just a shame it doesn't wear a TVR badge..... whistle

Wonder if the new Lotus will be even better?

2 glasses completed now but decided t hop onto tea otherwise I could easily take the whole bottle on.

Chateau Neuf is one on my favourites. I was just knocking back cheapo Jam Shed Shiraz.

On the understanding that this stays just between us, the bottle has a cork.

Yes. I know.

After everything I said.

Chateauneuf-du-Pape.

I am reliably informed.

By the label.

Directly in front of me.

I'm going to tell you my formula 1 story .

I was so offended by the finale in Abu Dhabi 2021 , I promised not to watch it again....ever !

I turned off the tv when the chequered flag fell in Abu and went out for a bit ,I turned tv back on when returned home and the F1 after party was in full swing and Christian Horner was being interviewed ,I turned over straight away .

Since then I have not seen or heard any Formula 1 stuff ,not a thing .

I do not know who has won the 5 ? races so far , or who crashed ,or who has had a hissy fit .

If successful ,this time next year I won't even know who the 2022 champion is .

Once again I stumbled upon a Formula E race ,in Monaco few weeks ago ,I watched 15 minutes of Vernon and Queen of Formula E Nikki doing inane grid interviews ,the race started ,I lasted less than 2 laps before switching off .

The WRC is better this year ,9 times champion Sebastien Loeb returned for a part season in the new Ford Puma and promptly won first time out in Monte Carlo , with a new co driver a female school teacher .

" Monsieur le headmaster ?.....please may i have next week off ,I am co driving Mr Loeb in the Monte Carlo rally "

"Yes of course you are my petit colleague , ".....walks away ,swearing in la Francais ...."taureau merde "

The BTCC has been good too , although all the chit chat about hybrid stuff makes me yawn .

That is all .

Some GT racing on Freesports would be nice if I can find it .

Take a look here for some Alpine prawn. https://www.theparking.eu/used-cars/alpine-a110.ht...

Edit to add that the dark blue one on first page(uk car) is for sale on PH. So it says.

Good morning all.

Morning all bounce

We've had to plug this one in. The extension lead's running through the orangery and across the corridor near the Dining Room, so be careful if you're making your way down for breakfast.

Does this explain why the Colonel's menagerie seems a bit cool this morning? We should consider having a few more plugs put in. Can't play swapsies forever.

Morning/evening chaps wavey
This morning appears to be a decent day weather wise, but after the last couple of false starts I'll reserve judgement for now!!
Making my breakfast on auto pilot this morning, cereal in bowl, milk in, banana sliced on top, grab a glass, open orange juice and start to pour that into the bowl too!!! eek
Managed to stop myself after just one glue, it's an unusual mixture, not unpleasant, just not quite right!!!

1000 Milia I stopped watching F1 many years ago and have refused to watch it since, thoroughly enjoying the BTCC this year as the hybrid use has replaced the old ballast system!!
