You didn't happen upon Lionel the Lynx on your wander around the wilderness did you, it's just that Nobody's seen him for a while!!!
No sightings, but it's big in the wilderness, really big, unimaginably big.i don't think anyone has properly explored it.
I seem to remember that slopes tried to map it once, he ran out of paper after two days!!!

We found some blotting paper, May have been his. We has to eat it, mashed up with crayons and pocket fluff. Fermented for a few day a passable Bavarian smoked cheese.

I had a chicken tikka curry meal for two.

I cheated. It was a ready-made microwave meal because I couldn't be bothered to cook the gammon joint and all the vegetables and all that palaver.

The curry was rather pleasant, but I did find myself munching on a cardamom pod for the sake of authenticity. Pilau rice and poppadums to complete the Gastronomic Trinity. Lush! lick

Now partaking of a bit of Bangers & Cash on Freeview Ch 26
My happiness knows no bounds. smile

And as I sip my fine snifter of malty drink, and as I peer out between the curtains and take in the wintry scene outside, I think to myself how lucky I am to have an electricity supply, gas on tap, three camping stoves, spare gas cylinders, candles, LED lanterns, spare batteries, sleeping bags, thermal underwear, a good stock of tinned and dried foods, a good set of chef's knives, a macheté, plenty of bottled drinks, abundant local wildlife, a roof over my head, and a fair grasp of essential survival skills.

If everything around you collasped, how long could you carry on?

In a dystopian post-apocalyptic world, could a Christmas tree be used as a deadly weapon?

Sharpen the pointy bit and spruce it up,then why not?

Good morning all.
Light snow falling here.

A bad back is telling me it's going to be a day of rest I think.

I've lit the kitchen fire and its cosy like.

Morning/evening chaps, Morning Magoo wavey
It's bloody chilly looking outside!! Off back to wemakeplanebits.com I go!!

Sounds like a wise decision there Magoo, far better to let your back rest and relax in front of a cozy fire!!
I forgot to comment on Agent M's attack training on Saturday, how's the arm healing up?? smile

Glenrobbo, that's an interesting question about how long would you survive, longer than most but not as long as some I suspect, I have "tools", I have knowledge and some training, candles, fire wood, a camping stove and plenty of tinned foods, so I think we have a fair chance!!

Morning Bobbers. Agent M has added a couple more scratches since then. All good fun rolling around the floor with her.
The snow is having a go!

Trivton Parish Council have agreed to release nearly half of its strategic stockpile of trivia as it faces soaring demand from a pandemic home trivia boom and a poor harvest due to the wrong sort of weather. Battert has offered the Towers' slurry tanker and spreader. With no reference to us, I might add. Just, "Would they like to borrow them." We will keep you posted about developments.

We have a wood stove in th kitchen, running ev'ry day ( hot water) & a log-burner for heating th house AND a chainsaw to fuel each of them. Wifey person has just vetoed my daughter's wish for chainsaw lessons. Just finished Wiener schnitzzzel

We have thought about having a Rayburn in the kitchen for hot water etc but it would be just too hot. We have an under counter hot water 20 litre heater for the sink. Very economical with almost instant hot water.
We can cook on top of this old girl when fired up.

Morning all.

situation snowy in Leicester and about minus 2. The trees are covered in a lovely snow coating and it looks delightful, but I'm glad that I only need go as far as the garage today. I'm on leave all week, with little more to do than some decorating.
