I may have tied a suitable noose, already. Who wants to build a stool? A 3rd person to kick said stool?

Liking the pussy cat picture Dibble.

Turns out the Mini needed water/coolant top up. But I’ll keep an eye on it as I can’t see where the old water/coolant went! Alas prospective buyers are no longer interested so Mini back on advert row.

I am feeling very tired as we come to the end of week 3 of caring for Mrs H and trying to get work done in between. Woke up having drenched the bed in sweat in the early hours forcing a change of clothes and a towel being placed on bed and pillows. More broken sleep……

Good morrow fellow Trivialites everywhere wavey
Many thanks for all the congratulations on a milestone I hadn't realised I was approaching!!! bowtie

Not as bad as poor Dibble or hammo19 but I too suffered a rubbish night's sleep, awake several times, in and out of sleep, lots of tosing and turning, bah!!! frown
Today brings more cleaning, dusting, hoovering (Vaxing in our case), kitchen cleaning and of course bathroom cleaning, the shopping is due to arrive between 1000 and 1100hrs, and I shall visit my dad this afternoon!!!
Alas no bike ride today, it's blowing a hooly and pissing down right now!!!

Nice pus Dibble, looks a little character she does, I'm offering 7/4 that she'll end up staying.........

Goooooddd mooorrrnnnniiinnnggggg Trivetnaaaaaammmmm!!!!

Grey, wet and dismal here, just like the weather. Firstly, congratumalations to Bobbers on his magnificent perst count, despite being on here for less time than me. Quality and quantity, old chap!

It's not actually precipitating right now, so I'll take advantage and have an early perambulation. I need to be in the right mood for a meeting this evening, we, the Directors of the Management Company for our apartment block, are going to explain the budget for this year, and the reasons for the necessary increase in management fees to the other inmates, among whom are one or two serial complainers, one of whom very much enjoys the sound of her own voice, but is rather hard of understanding. Empty vessels, etc.

What fun.

Onwards and upwards,...

How am I expected to get any plane spotting done from my bedroom/office window today with the blanket greyness out there. Teeside Airport has some interesting movements today but no chance of seeing those in the distance.

I have to make a trip to the tip today.

Morneve all!

Ah, overheating Mini, that takes me back Hammo to years of replacing head gaskets, thermostats, water pumps, and that damnable bypass hose, and no mistake! I still have the scars to prove it.....

Talking of time, it is that point in the inevitable progress towards meeting the Grim Reaper that ol' Pequod has acquired another tick in the box marked 'Burfday'! I shall face the ensuing barrage of greeting cards, begging letters, and usual scramble to be the first (1st) to wish this old boy good 'elf, with my lip (upper) stiffened and an array of suitable ripostes at my disposal..... harrumph!!!

A good day to you, Sirs....

Hello, hello, hello another pissy weather front in north east Surrey, will it ever stop, how long is a piece of string, in other good news this morning the Evening standard has stated that all roads in London are now to be made 20mph! banghead All cars are now to have a person walking in front of them carrying a white flag

I might have made that last bit up!

White flag? eek We are not ready to surrender just yet, Fatboy!
Anyway, I think it is red flags, particularly those driving a Lamborghini.
A red flag to a bull, as it were.

A jolly freudigen Anniversaire to Pequod! partybeerbouncedrink
It seems like only yesterday when he was a young blade causing all the fair young maidens to swoon with thoughts of romance and stuff.

Well done on maintaining such a remarkable state of preservation, old chap! bow

Canapés and Bolly in the Refectory this afternoon, I presume?

I saw a similar bottle to Byker’s above when I was in Toronto about ten years ago….

I’m at hospital and have had the usual nonsense of booking into clinic, asking if I need to go for an X-Ray, being told no, sitting down, then being told actually I DO need to go for an X-Ray, so an additional wait at X-ray…

It’s frustrating when I was told at the last appointment I’d need X-rays, the consultant’s secretary yesterday told me I’d need X-rays… when the NHS is good, it’s fantastic (especially at the pointy/crisis end). Some days it doesn’t feel like it’s joined up at all.

Stand by for further…

Good luck, Dibble!

We're all behind you, so please make sure that you do that gown up properly.

And a very merry burfday, Pequod! Where do they all come from? Mine's a smoked salmon canape and a half of Bolly (well chilled).

Otherwise, I managed to not become saturated on this morning's walk, much to my surprise, so I'll consider that to be a result. I've spent the remaining part of the morning doing domestic chores, formulating responses for tonight's meeting, and feeling sorry for my son and daughter-in-law, as their cat will be put down tomorrow. Cancer is a bd, poor little thing.

Oh well. Things to do, places to go, people to deal with.

Happy thing, pequod. If I’m having surgery tomorrow, I can’t drink tonight…

IOTN, I’m beginning to feel like Byker’s stalker. This picture was also in that there Belgium (Ypres rather than Antwerp), with the second being part way through loading the Saaaaaaaaab for the ride home.
