So far today I have had 2 meetings, created a rough and ready program to rough some oversized billets down, added an op to rough said billets down, stopped a major collision by noticing that the said billets were oversized, clarified several queries, downloaded, corrected, updated and generated an SOP, and helped one of our apprentices understand a program, and it's only lunchtime!!!!

I was on a work call at 6am. I was answering emails before that.

It was a software upgrade where all I had to do was hit go on a script every 20 minutes. I could have made it a 20 minute call by hitting go on every server at once but the customer would have st themselves at the prospect.

So I got to spend an hour and a half making small talk over Webex with a customer I barely know while watching shell windows scrolling up the screen. He's a nice bloke but that's not my idea of a good way to spend the morning.

I'm st at small talk. That's not true, I'm ok, but I know experts and know the difference.

Are cars expensive in Canada these days? What's the weather like. Lockdown was crap wasn't it. I'm running out of ideas here ... do you like Star Wars? Targaryen's, I like them, thousands of dead people wouldn't. Schipol airport's st isn't it. Dubai is somewhere I never want to go. What's that noise in the background, it's either my stomach grumbling or the next-door neighbour's dog barking.

I start early, around 5:30-6am most mornings, do a bit, walk Asha, have breakfast, work through then break somewhere around 3:30-4pm.
At the moment I'm chasing around Requests for Change and writing documentation that we are missing..

Left over belly of pork, heated, with apple sauce, in a freshly baked baguette, Yum...
But then I won't eat until 7:30-8 tonight as driving to Wales. Picking up daughter/grandkids from nursery at 4, so we'll catch all the rush hour traffic - especially Newport - Ych a Fi!

So far today, i have mostly been finding problems
Problems that when our MD finds out about them, means someone will get reamed out - without the benefit of lubrication.
Inevitably, because it's me that found the problems, i will be the first port of call for the dog who gets kicked and then when i can't give him the inevitable answers he wants - such as who broke this? - then no doubt i'll be the second port of call for the dog who gets kicked, before he then proceeds to make everyone aware that there is a problem and that the problem is unnaceptable.

I'm not greedy, a small lottery win is all i ask, just enough to clear our debts, then i'll happily go sweep the floors in Maccy d's and this lot can play by themselves

Afternoon all!

A strange day, and no mistake.

Notwithstanding the various dispatches from residents risking life and limb to collect provisions, and other stuff, from Emporia not of my choice, and our plucky Bobbers attending to all things to do with plane bits, plus Slopes, it has been a somewhat unsettling day for ol' Pequod.

IOTN: Collected my favourite wading jacket from Miss Threadneedle who has completed a fine replacement of the front zip.

That's st Slopes, I'm very fortunate that my bosses are very supportive and when presented with issues will always try to help you resolve them.

Ah, I did wonder if you partook of a bit of fly action or if it was just for boating / sailing activities?

You'll probably spot at least half the current Residents of TT in the waiting area
