He's right, though, hence what I posted previously. I'm trying to be careful to post in a neutral or positive way about him because we were pretty negative about him in the previous thread and that got closed.

Probably best to talk about Tate. smile

Pretty much.

Mind you, he's teaching people to escape the matrix. By giving him all your money, you can no longer chase the expensive stuff so have to be happy in your Ford Fiesta and thus have escaped the matrix. He's a genius.

The brothers have lost their case re. tax evasion:

https://news.sky.com/story/andrew-tate-and-brother...

I can't remember what their defence was?

edit: Reading some old news articles, it doesn't look like the defence got into the matter of whether tax was ever owed, it seems the defence was that the money was legitimately earned and should not be forfeited. Given that it's the police, not HMRC bringing proceedings I guess it does make sense. The question is why have HMRC seemingly not *yet* done anything about it?

Their defence was "the movement of the cash had been legitimate business activity.". Unfortunately, "Andrew Tate had publicly declared he had not paid tax in the UK, and that his approach had been to "ignore, ignore, ignore because in the end they go away" " tends to undermine that... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cm2v1rnvrv0o

Also appears that their piss-poor attempts at laundering extend to their clothing, since neither seems to have a suit that actually fits correctly.

Surely if they'd been able to demonstrate they'd complied with Romanian tax rules, there'd be no case to answer...

I'm wondering if this is action taken to secure the money because it's straightforward, and then HMRC will steam in next knowing that anything else they can get will be a bonus?

I'd imagine they are worth a fair bit more than £2m, unfortunately.
