Another vote for step one. I bought a bulk pack a couple of years ago, as they aren't cheap individually. Still have some unopened as they last so well

I need some new ones (not because of any traumatic motoring-related incident).

In the past I've bought M&S black trunks but they quickly lose their elasticity. Want the same style with better longevity. Not looking to spend the earth.

Any recommendations?
I'm guessing the M&S trunks didn't have proper Lycra through them?
Ah. Good point. No, they were pure cotton (5 for £18).
Cheapskate !

There's your problem, imo.

If you don't want to pay over the odds, but want decent quality lycra based stuff, try NEXT.

Bjorn Borg trunks are good. The Essentials are good for everyday, but the Performance range is better if you prefer a slightly snugger fit.

I mainly have Under Armour ones and they're great - comfortable and particularly good for exercise. Also have a couple of pairs of Step One and they're very nice.

Another vote for Bjorn Borg, seem to last well and plenty comfortable enough. They have them on sportpursuit fairly regularly at decent prices

I must be getting old as I have never seen anyone asking for advice on what fking underpants to buy.
Other way round for me - I'm old but never had to ask before.

No fking involved, sadly.
hehe

For what it’s worth, I do like the m and s trunks and also find they don’t really last but I don’t mind having to buy a new pack every few years ad they are very comfortable.

Just buy cheap multipacks from Primark or a supermarket and chuck em when they wear out.

Years ago I used to go on holiday with no hold baggage. I would buy fake T-Shirts and chuddies for €1-2, wear them and throw them away! biggrin

and the OPs back to square one.

Buying half decent quality items with lycra through the fabric will solve the problem, imo.

Not after the kerfuffle they caused in the gym.

I have virtually replaced my collection of cheap Primanis with Sloggi.

Comfortable and long lasting.

Try the M&S Autograph Microskin ones. Not cheap at 3 for £30 or 5 for £35. Comfy, long lasting.

Somebody mentioned BAM pants - yeah comfy too but they wear out and are full of holes within months.
