Good morning all. Forecast is for over 30 degrees again so I had better get stuff done this morning.
Empty truck from my travels , straps ,jacks ,blocks etc.
Sweep chimney from roof down ,cut hedge, cut grass. Then take a look at the toilet next door as they have managed to block it!
My two childhood pals should be just getting on the Chunnel at this moment on their way down here.

Much fun for everyone on this first one of October.

Fout.
erm it's the 2nd Oct?

Today we're leaving Quebec city, full of americans who arrived on cruise ships, plus one german cruise ship.
Driving about 5 hours south to Ottawa.

Went to put stuff in Grand Ivor yesterday, but couldn't find it in the carpark. I was on the wrong level... biggrin

Yes, but it's the first chimney sweeping/ hedge cutting/ grass mowing/ toilet unblocking and visit by pals in October at Chez Magoo, so he's technically correct. smile

Good morneve, all.

My GP is always very keen to get me on to statins, I'm refusing every time he mentions the subject. I'm clocking up 15,000+ steps per day, lost a kilo and a half since February, and my BMI is back in the green zone, so I'll carry on as I am, although it does involve eating grilled fish, salads, and avoiding too much alcohol. Life is what you make
Laters,...
Keep at it Dermot!
I’ve no idea about BMI how do you work that out?
My weight loss since Christmas has gone from 13 stone 12 to 11 stone 7 this morning so around 15 kilos.
I’m at a point where I have to eat some carbs for some energy!
Here you are, Magoo. You need to know your weight and height, either in Imperial British or Roman Catholic. Good luck.

Just had a chat with Canadians constabulary. One has to watch ones speed in grand ivor, its very easy to creep over 100km/hrs.

Or on my case, accelerate to overtake a lorry...

Played the dumb tourist, lots of apologising, friendly hand on the shoulder from the copper offering advice. biggrin

Thanks Dermot. I’m 0.6 outside the green zone so not terrible.

Had my call from the doc, following my blood tests - same sugar levels as last year, below diabetic threshold, cholesterol ok, BMI good, officially diabetes is "in remission"!

I'm resisting the urge to celebrate with a pint of G&T and a cream bun.

If you have such rights, someone else is obliged to allow you to exercise them. I can assure you that it won’t be menono, indeed not!

Well, after the litany of woes on here, that is cheering news! Forget the cream bun and go easy on the tonic is my advice.
