Surely a simple cut out in the stairs would allow the TV to be more central?

For anyone seeking clarity as to whether they are council, step out your front door and see if you have hand painted your house number on either the brickwork of your house, or wheelie bin. Bonus points if the paint ran down the wall/bin a bit, or didn't quite fit and so had to be squashed up.

My TV is 21cm from the floor. Does this make me anti-council?

arrggggh my eyes!!!!

one for the pictures that make my eyes itch thread.
My thoughts exactly ! I couldn't bare to look at it !
Me neither. At least move the unit to the left so the TV isn't overhanging it!

Some hand painted bins can be done properly- but that requires planning which council don’t do

My favourite (which my housing association neighbour did) is emulsion with a 4 inch brush to paint your house number on the wall

I don't think this went the way the OP thought it would go.

You kidding? I'm quietly pleased to be a bit council smile

The unit is temporary hence the odd position - A shelf across the entire opening is planned.
Or was... Then it might be less council and I'll lose my badge of honour.

My stairs are in the living room. No hallway = council?
yes As is a front door that opens directly into the living room.
My last house had a door that opened into the hall, but that led to the kitchen or lounge. The stairs were from the lounge itself.

Bonus points if the front door opens outwards.

Greggs Too Good to Go, anyone who has that app on their phone really are top of the council list.

It's not a Greggs app. I don't think avoiding food waste is council personally.

Had some excellent coffee beans from local roasteries.

Lad in our office uses that, he goes every day. I joke that there are indentation footsteps in the footpath leading from our office to Greggs, where he's taken the same footsteps daily for years. Like a caged animal does.

Pre ordering nearly out of date food seems very council. Just donate it to the homeless if you want to avoid waste it really is simple.

The homeless are well served by various charities around here, I volunteer with them and food waste programs and their is very little over lap as there is always enough food donated for the homeless. One would suggest your lack of knowledge of these things would say it's not really that simple.

As for the Greggs stuff, wouldn't that just be pasties of the same day so not really nearly out of date. At what point is it nearly out of date? Lunchtime? Post lunch time? Hour before close?

Using centimetres as a unit of measurement is council though, millimetres/metres or Imperial but never 'CM'
