Fair comment, I didn’t even bother reading the fail article, so that probably makes more council then!

Not paying attention to a Daily Wail article - not council.

Hilda and Stan. Stan was ostensibly a window-cleaner, but never got off his 'arris and few windows were cleaned. Hilda was the cleaner at the Rovers Return. She was very proud of her muriel.

They were replaced as Corrie's "character couple" by Jack and Vera Duckworth.

Yep, just as Tyrone and Fiz retained the yellow and blue cladding. Although I think they took down the "Old Rectory" plaque.

F*ck me; extensive historic knowledge of Corrie storylines = council!

Anyone remember when Rita & Mavis went on the QE2 and Mavis asked if the captain was going to “drive away now”? biggrin Or when Vera Duckworth won a Vauxhall Nova and pranged it on a lamppost?!

Anyway, yes… Corrie - council whistle

I'm afraid I recall all of this. My mother used to watch it all the time. I thought Eddy Yates was great.

Corrie is council, absolutely. Less so than East Enders. Where does the Archers sit though.

Decidedly aspiring middle class.

I'll never forget the episode when one of the posher couples decided to make a contribution to the food bank box in the local shop - a jar of stuffed olives.
