They are good fun though. I go through phases of wanting one, getting one, and then hating myself and getting rid. I have to say though, I feel far less of a tt on one than I do with a boat, outboard and ski/biscuit/donut trailing off the back. I live near the coast, I do a lot of watersports/activities - is it that wrong to want these toys to enjoy the area?

Caveat - where I go to play isn't a popular beach area, and I'm a keen kayaker, so enjoy the tranquility too.
There is a tragic side to all this, buying a jet ski and on your first go, crashing and killing yourself.

That's the real problem with jetskis. Too cheap and easy to get into, so get used by the untrained and unwary. Regarded as a toy to let your teenager use, ignoring harbour speed limits etc.Sometimes with tragic results.
Most people take larger power craft more seriously.

it's only tragic if you care !

Edit to add. Not suggesting all users fit that description.
Same applies to quads and motocross bikes in the inland council areas.

When did MB give up on single wiper arms? That was one of the better bits about 80s/90s mercs, watching it was faintly hypnotic. That thing above is awful, with that ridiculous jukebox grille it looks like something they sell in China.

Being with the council = not council.
