I had to use it for a few years for the Porsche garage to MOT my 928 - the real reg is a vinyl sticker and they were convinced it wasn't allowed....
As you can see, it screws into the towing ring socket.
Still see people to this day buying a square number plate, offsetting it somewhere daft and then leaving the original spot looking daft

A neighbour has a nice MX5 (Eunos actually) with one of those mounts and the original holes in the bumper. More annoyingly, he had the full size square front plate on it, when he could get away with the smaller import sized plate,as it is is a JDM import. SJfW said:

I live in a relatively rural location, but there is, unfortunately, still a 'local' McDonalds. Fly tipping is bad, but it is sporadic. The McDonalds litter, however, is a constant eyesore on the country lanes hereabouts. I don't know whether it's thrown from moving vehicles, or whether people park up in a nice rural setting to enjoy their feast. Very possibly both.
Interestingly, the McD has a neighbouring KFC, but I hardly see any KFC litter. Does a better class of person go to KFC? Or do they just sell less than McD, so accordingly less used packaging to be poorly disposed of?
I used to work opposite a drive-thru equipped Kentucky Fried Chicken concession. It also had drive by litterbins in the car park, which resembled old-fashioned ships' ventilators. Said bins were something of a boon, as the drive-thru's customers actually used them -- the incentive being that one didn't actually have to dismount from one's grease-lined chariot further to having consumed half a pound of lard in it. Interestingly, the McD has a neighbouring KFC, but I hardly see any KFC litter. Does a better class of person go to KFC? Or do they just sell less than McD, so accordingly less used packaging to be poorly disposed of?
I've not seen such litterbins in a McDonald's car park.

Like these?It should be noted that the area around them is not always that devoid of empty packaging and bags. The scrotes are not always a particularly good shot and don't care to go back if/when they miss.

Indeed. The other weak point with such bins is that seagulls and the like are able to enter and exit them without any difficulty. Much of the litter in the car park opposite my one-time workplace had, in fact, already been binned and then pulled out again by one of the many fowl in the area. It's hard to see from that google view, but the similar bins at fast food places near me have flaps to stop wildlife doing that. Perhaps the spring on the flap has failed.
