Twas always thus. Guess with no coast and largely surrounded by flatness there is nothing to set anything up.

Lived here 16 years I can recall a couple of properly decent storms in that time.

Absolutely lashing it down in Reading. Started about an hour ago and gradually just got heavier. Big fat rain too which seems to soak you through in one splash

An average overcast day in downtown Chesterfield, hardly worth reporting so I won't.

Just popped into Walberswick, on the Suffolk coast, for lunch. Glorious, shirt-sleeve weather. 20 degrees.

Lots of people out and about on this, the last day of weeks of sunshine.

It's rainaggedon from tomorrow.

I was up in Dundee this morning in the lorry, now back in sunny and warm Cheshire, but sure I heard on the radio they'd had decent snow on the west coast of Scotland this morning?

Amazing how localised it is, Im in the South East and had nothing, no rain or thunder, nice day. Someone I know posted on FB in the North West and it was raining quite a bit

Here just north of Winchester we’ve had some proper heavy rain early and late morning, and now it’s sunny and lovely.

Shame I’m stuck in the wheelchair for the day, so it goes frown

Glorious on the south coast, if a bit windy. Enjoying a well earned G&T after paddling back from Durdle Door against both wind and tide.

Yup, we had a decent number of strikes last night followed by some seriously heavy downpours. Raining again quite heavily this morning.

Yep, absolutely hoofed it down with rain in the small hours in Bedford last night. Thunder and lightning too. Only the middle third/crown of the road outside was clear - a whole third each side was a raging torrent, all the drains belching water back up six inches or more into the air, pavements underwater.

It’s at it again this morning, our lawn is underwater. The (previously empty) kid’s paddling pool is about two inches deep…

We were meant to have had a good dowsing overnight in NE Suffolk. We've had nothing yet.

We're sitting outside in the garden, soaking up the sun. It's 18 degrees.

Summer won't relinquish its grip around here just yet.

The breakdown now arrives this evening, apparently.
