Is it just me or has it been really dry for the last few weeks? Like we're heading for a really dry summer....
Where’s that post about the various stages of summer and spring?

Isn’t this sunny dry spell Fools Spring or something?
I asked as I have been watering pots, baskets, bulbs and greenhouse bits and pieces for a few weeks now and the of the nearly 2500 litres of rainwater I had a few weeks ago I'm probably down to less than half with no sign of rain for the next week or so.

I suppose I'll just have to wait for...

Rain is due at the weekend.

We're now climbing out of winter, enjoy...
I’ve got 20 degrees forecast near Winchester from the Met Office for the end of this week, hell yeah.

It feels like it’s been a million billion years since I was last warm hehe
I'd love to say the same ref the bold...but I was in the Bahamas a month ago for a few days and came back sunburnt! hehe

Snowing again in CO. Which is a bit of an arse as I need to be in work early tomorrow. Fortunately, it's warm enough that shoveling is pointless as it'll be melted by mid-morning - I'm just hoping we don't get much settling.

Quite a bit of snow on grassy areas and roofs, roads are mainly dry. Which was a relief as the wind was very based last night, and many highways around me were closed due to blizzard conditions. Roads south of me were icy this morning, but just damp on the route I take.

Could today be the day the summer thread opens? laugh

I know cars aren’t the most accurate things when it comes to this, but was taken after a nip into town today

Hailed quite a bit on Sunday. Snow in the forecast for this week, still waiting for enough of a forecast clear patch for it to be worth while swapping to summer wheels.

Snowed again yesterday and today. Not enough to stick, but there were patches of a couple of inches of slush. Looking to put the summer tires back on sometime this weekend, which will likely guarantee another couple of weeks of winter.

For me in Northants I am predicting a truly awful summer for me, I loath the heat, and all we have had most of the year is clear, dry days, meaning lots of frost, cold nights but warm days, translate that to July and it is gonna be in the high 20 every sodding day leading to awful sleep, sweaty work and utter misery for me I'm afraid! I cant recall a winter and spring so dry and no rain. At least not here, even compared to last year

Probably can’t help you at work much, but you should seriously consider air conditioning in the bedroom.

I’m about to have a system installed but even a good portable unit will do the job well.

Hot days feel wildly different and more enjoyable when you know you’ll be able to get nice comfy sleep that night.

This seems unlikely to last, I suspect normal service will resume shortly.

I'm calling it for Snowmageddon this season.
It's pretty spring like out there here in the east of england and I can't see us diving into a prolonged cold spell enough to give us snow to worry about.

I've put the summer wheels on and washed and waxed the car. Pretty much guaranteed another snowfall in a week or so now.

I struggle with hot and humid weather... having a portable air conditioning unit in the bedroom really helps. Knowing that you can get some sleep makes the hellish summer heat a bit more bearable.

I wish I'd bought an aircon unit years ago!

I also find that avoiding cotton t shirts helps - get some decent breathable shirts: I like the Under Armour Tech 2 (I also use them for hiking... really recommend them). Expensive but worth every penny to avoid that horrible clammy feeling you get with cotton.

got the bike out for the MOT saturday.

Weather said current 10deg and reaching 14 by the time I'd be heading home so went summer gear with the thermal inners. Bad call, i missed the 20 mph wind so even travelling relatively slowly i was freezing! Took me hours to warm back up, should have gone with the cold weather gear.

then this morning ice on the car. Its looked so much warmer than it is for a week now.
