Wasn't it over 30 degrees this time last year?

Certainly chilly these last few days but I'll take it if it means we see a bit more of the sun.

It was definitely warm in September, our kitten had a broken leg and we had to keep her in a dog cage. We were putting her outside a lot.

Explains why she is attempting to send mice and voles to extinction...

I'm always a happy chap when this thread is launched.... woohoo

I'm hoping for a long, dark and bitterly cold winter, with some crisp freezing days thrown in as I love that sort of weather (can't stand temps of more than 20c).

It probably be crap with mild weather and drizzle though.

Booking in.

Never bother posting in the Summer one - no such thing in NE Scotland!

hehe I miss Colin... man after my own heart when it came to the weather (and ONLY the weather: didn't he get a ban for some dubious racial postings on NP&E?)

Heavy hail in Hatfield this afternoon, frozen water falling from the sky, yes winter is here already.

This time last year I was making hay as we hadn't made it in the summer as we never got 4 dry warm days in a row before the September heat.

Checking in.

Rather amusingly I had frost on the windscreen of the car on Thursday morning.

Heated screen made short work of it while I let the heated seat and steering wheel warm up.

We are in that odd no mans land where Im not sure which thread to post in. Been a reasonable day here with a bit of sun, but still cold. Not resorted to heating just yet, but have put a hoody on. One night last week I woke up feeling cold and noticed it said 2 degrees on the Alexa. .

Be careful in the wet - feel like Tokyo Drift King sometimes on wet roundabouts in my Hilux. Decent in the snow unless it gets really cold (sub minus 10) when they seem to go a bit hard.

I did read that they were a bit dodgy in the wet, hoping the van may be a bit less tail-happy than a Yota pick-up?

When I got my old T6 4-Motion about 6 years ago we had two lots of good snow and the OEM Goodyear Vector Cargos were decent and I was able to get up two local hills where others had failed.

Worst case I’ll break out the old Landcruiser stbox rather than risk my new van.

A friend reports more fresh snow on the Cairngorms today - wet and miserable at lower levels here in Aberdeenshire after quite a long run of pretty decent weather with lots of sunshine and light winds.

Amber rain warning overnight for southern Midlands area, yellow warning for most of England. Sigh.
