Deal. It’s been a while since it was last done, and looks like it won’t be for a while after Saturday!

Make sure you do cut on Saturday though - look out in to the Atlantic...
Saturday looks like it should be a cold crisp autumnal day for much of the country.

I'm planning on a decent hike in the Peaks, so it'd better not rain (last Sunday was 'challenging' weather).

Looking at the pressure map, I would say yes. A cold, dry northerly once any early rain clears.

Never trust the BBC forecast, it's up to 24 hours out of date.

Met office prediction for London backs that up: https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/forecast/gcpv...

Did ours last weekend along with power washing flags and general tidy up, I think it will be the last one this year now.

Thank you, I’m inclined to agree. We’re going to make an assessment at 9am, but I think we should see a fair chunk of play.

Any chance of catching the remnants of Isaac? It feels like years since we've had a big autumn storm.

Stuart Broad posted a video on IG. It's still raining in London but she said Lord's dries quick and there is plenty of time so he is confident of some decent play.

Did you go in the end?

We’re getting to Waterloo at 1230 so should be in there around 1ish. Looks like it’s dry after this band of crap passes although it hardly looks appealing to leave my house shortly!

Current trajectory makes it look unlikely.

This is a good thing, I have a 5.5 hour cross channel ferry on Tuesday!

Don’t want any storms until the trees have shed most of their leaves.

Me too and I really hope it is, its been a real PITA having to do them at least once a week this year with the whole sun/rain/sun/rain routines

Crikey indeed. And it felt in Beds like all/the vast majority of that rain fell during a 2-4 day spell.
