Trouble in paradise.

Just lost a front tooth biting into a rather delish but over crunchy honeycomb biscuit! What sympathy do it get? Erin Dawes creasing up with mirth.

Now I need to find a dentist sharpish and get an emergency denture to look half-respectable. As somebody here says, it’s not easy being me!
Oh dear. Toothless in Tobago!

Hope you get sorted psi.
Indeed, sorry to hear that pso310398!!!

G'morneve all, approaching upper twenties ( 20's) centipedes @ 42S

/ I was there in the audience at that NME Pop Poll Winners Concert, held at the Empire Pool, Wembley back in 1965 or 1966.
All the top names were there...
But when the Beatles and the Stones were on, they were just drowned out by all the screaming.

I don't know what came over me! biggrin

Morning all.
A poor nights sleep has been had. Overthinking things as usual.

No centipedes at the moment.

Back on the scaffolding in a bit once I’ve been to merchants to get lime and cement etc.

Fout.

Morning all, late night so tired this morning.

Elsie has Scarlet fever, finally diagnosed by the hospital after seeing her doctor/nurse twice in the last week.

Solar panel install today. We expect to lose power at some point.

Nice caravan, Dicky. Impressive that nobody parked near you in such a welcoming environment.

Sorry if I’ve missed anybody: good luck to all out there today!

A piss poor effort by myself this morning, got distracted and forgot to post here.

Slept really well last night, sorry Magoo, woke up feeling good, that didn't last long, some tt nearly ran me over on the crossing at work, then had an argument with an operator who just wouldn't let an argument go despite me telling him I wasn't going to discuss it, finally snapped and told him about dealing with losing my dad and what he was arguing about was meaningless in reality, now sat in the canteen with a coffee collecting my thoughts.

I wish to second all of SM's good wishes above, may all concerned get well soon.

Gude Moaneve Trilobites and Toofless in Tobago. wavey

I'm off out soon to attend Robbopoppetlet's performance as a Police Sheep in her school's festive spectacular show, "Fleeece Squad".
I have to get there early to bag a seat, as it is a sell-out.

Baaa-baaa, Baaa-baaa, Baaa-baaa...

Her Mummy is back home from hospital minus her gall bladder and is very sore, but hoping to watch the afternoon show.

IOTN, my buddy is also back home from thorsespittle after his severe tachycardia event, they finally hot his heart rate down to 70npm from 160 -135.
He is under strict orders not to overdo it for a good while.
This will likely scupper his TVRing plans over winter and early next year.

Have a good day, everyone!
Take it steady, Magoo!

See ya later. Crocodiles wavey

GRout.

We have 2 centipedes here apparently and plenty of cloud.

Sorry to hear about Elsie getting scarlet fever, hope she makes a speedy recovery.

Another quiet day ahead I think, I am intending to do a long walk today before the weather takes as a turn for the worst the rest of the week.

Apparently with the scarlett fever it's too late for antibiotics, we now have to let things run it's course...

Bobbers - a natural reaction, it'll take a while chap. Not so much with my Dad but losing my Mum affected me for quite a while.

I mean it says it's about 4 centipedes but it felt much colder than that this morning.

Good moaneve everybody!

And best wishes to anybody suffering, or with nearest and dearests suffering.

I myself returned safely from the horsepiddle yesterday after my eye screening, which involved the traditional application of essence of stinging nettle and Carolina Reaper chilli oil drops. My right eye is following the lead of its left partner down the road towards cataract removal, and I could barely manage the third row of letters on the screen, whereas with the left eye I could rattle off the very bottom row, and could almost read the maker's name.

The young lady optometrist was suitably impressed.

I'd managed to arrange transport from my brother-in-law, so we went home for tea and a mint spy.

Today is notable for being dry, sunny, but with a noticeable lack of centipedes - only three so far, but the smiley weather girl has promised a few more later in the day. I might venture out for some steppage this morning, then I have some indoor jobs lined up for this afternoon, principally changing the dimmer switch for my en-suite bathroom (I know, get me, right?), which has only one job to do, which is to set the light to an acceptable level (as in "not retina-searingly bright) should the need arise to visit said facility during the hours of darkness. Anyway, it has failed in its duty, so needs to be replaced. I hate having to do anything involving sufficient electricity to kill me, and I especially hate lighting circuits, because every electrician in the known universe seems to wire up lighting circuits differently.

Cue outrage from electricians everywhere, and comments about not touching something potentially lethal that I clearly don't understand.

With luck, I'll report back later. Don't smoke any kippers just yet.

Interesting start this morning. Thick fog as I left home to go to merchants so coming up the by pass slip road out of my main village to be met by Lorrie’s cars etc with their hazards on in the opposite lane. Nothing unusual as it’s a foreign lorry rat run and always something going on.
Lo and behold a huge artic has hit a beef and it’s dead and trapped under the front bumper.
Mayhem!
Spoke to the merchants and we all agreed whose cow it will be! Stephane the local gigolo that poses as a farmer. He’s got one big field full of cows, horses, donkeys, sheep and boats. He a likeable fella but a proper handful with the drink in him. More visits from the Gendarmarie pour Stephane no doubt.

Should have used his horn to warn of his presence, so the cow could hoof it. Bet that did some damage, hopefully the drivers boss won't be after his hide.

etc etc.

Depends on the speed but I bet that caused some damage.

I hope everyone that’s ill or troubled can recover asap.

We’ve lunched on leftovers today with fig and peach crumble following on like.

I’ve lit the log burner and the three (3) of us are rather cosy, until walkies time that is then it’s off out into the cold gloom. Agent M will protest but she will have to put up with it.

I just nipped downt farm to cover up the sand pile as it’s getting a bit nippy out like!
I’ve left our three (3) litre milk churn downt farm int parlour ready for the lovely Marie to fill it with her tasty milk! Steady at the back there! She’s just told me there’s six (6) fresh eggs sitting on the side for me also.
Workwise.
The top coat of render has been applied and rubbed up and I’m pleased to say it’s started looking smart and with luck the right colour. I decided to mix white cement into the lime and sand mix as it’s going to go off a bit quicker which is needed at this time of year.

Snooze time I’m thinking.
