And yes, the only modern Jeep I've driven was awful.
I did rather like driving Grand Ivor, the v8, 5 litre Jeep Grand Cherokee in Canada. It worked there, didn't feel big, comfy

In other news, we had "tree surgeons" here yesterday, and for a dedicated few of us, today will be spent clearing up some of the mess they left.
The house on the end of the road that our close hangs off had 'tree surgeons' in yesterday, two blokes with a tiny chainsaw, 4" blade...
They parked their flatbed across the road so noone could get past and to make doubly sure had through down all the chopped branches (mostly 1" thick stuff) into the road...

They left all the ivy on the trees/fences, which is easily excessive and is starting to drag the fence over, has climbed all the trees

Dicky's erstwhile collabarator (spelling?) on the Humer Unbeam thread is currently researching his next magnum opus, on the life and times of Red Robbo* (see elsewhere on the 'net).
Perhaps he could be persuaded to turn his attention next to another old Lag?

Ooh, that's interesting. It's the same period as his book on BL quality control. With him, in any of his aliases, not posting on PH now, I have a backlog of pics he sends me for The Woolhampton Bakery Compendium of Ghost Signs thread. I'll get on to that and send him a message couched in pugilistic trade union lingo.

Reminds me of a joke.

Moses comes down from Mount Sinai.
"Gavver rahnd, bruvvers, gavver rahnd. I've bin in meaningful negotiations wiv the management and I have good news and bad news. The good news is, I've managed to limit the commandments to just ten. The bad news is, adultery is still in."

I was eye rolling about the indiscriminate nature of algorithm driven click-bait advertising. No repossessed cars for sale in Newbury afaik, nowhere selling Jeeps hereabouts and if there were they wouldn't be for sale in dollars.
I reckoned that smile … couldn’t resist the rant though

Spoiler alert

Tell me you've carried that on

No ,the stripe is only on the boot , 1 because I only bought 1 metre and 2 because it wouldn't work on the front boot as there is a large V groove down the centre and it would be a nightmare getting a stripe to not crease up ,wouldn't work on the roof either .
I managed to make a mess of the piece down the back of the spoiler on the boot too .

Ah right, shame as I think that colour/stripe combination works well

So I had a look around - oh my...Ok until you see the side scoops and air intake.

The red and yellow car with the other "prototipo" bodywork is a replica of the Abarth rally car that FIAT group might have rallied in the 70s , but it was dumped at birth due to a car called Stratos and then that was also dumped when they decided to use the 131 Rally for it's WRC entries .
A certain Herr Rorhl did win a championship in the 131 though .

I have seen a replica prototipo at shows and at the Italian sportscar garage I use .

Morning all

Roofers in today, their ladder looks a bit short to the apex so not sure how they are going to cope. Still not my problem…..

I’m a year older today as well.

Yep I'm on the cusp. My profile fits more Pisces than Aquarius so I consider myself as a fishy.

Trivton Trove Mint are producing a range of Trivton Dollar gold coins featuring several characters from the village on the obverse and and a depiction of the Towers on the reverse. The 84th Earl coins are £1 each, Battert coins are £2 each, the Greenfield girls are £1,000 each and so on. Each coin comes in a special Bryant & May box and is presented in 24 carat gold effect paint. They are available downstairs in the Church. Ask for Crypt-O-Currency.

Happy Birthday hammo.

I’m an Aquarius which is very apt for me being a ‘water carrier’ as a plasterer deals with the movement of thousands of litres water in a life time of spreading. Along with many many tons of sand.

I get mine from the record shop called Mud in Lower Triviton on the Wold. The Cat Crypt In Currency is performing very well.
