Wow, exciting stuff.

Wish I had a secret Nazi tunnel in my garden.

Looking forward to the next update.

Fascinating thread.

My hunch is that you'll find a whole Jagdegeschwader of Messerschmitt Bf-109s stashed away in pristine condition (I wish).

I presume you are based in the Channel Islands somewhere so more likely to find a store of rusty old paint tins or something equally mundane.

And how does that conversation start?

"You see that big hole in what used to be our garden, well there's a good reason for it. I was bored, hired a digger and thought I'd look for a Nazi bunker..."

I hope for your sake there are a few home comforts in that bunker, you may be spending a few nights down there!!!

Wicked thread - and a beautifully clean MX5!

Also, nice property.

All in all, 10/10!

My wife was actually fairly excited too once I'd explained, and was more annoyed that I hadn't waited for her to be there. Her first comments were...

"So you haven't been at work today then?" followed by "They don't leave things very tidy do they?"

The latter comment may also have had something to do with the "practice" holes we dug in another part of the garden, so as to get a hang of operating the digger smile
