It was no Spaced, Stella St or Seinfeld.
Shouldn't give Kay a hard time. If it hadn't been for Phoenix Nights we wouldn't now have Paddy O'Connell as a Top Gear presenter
Surely that should be, we should give him a hard time as thanks to him we have to suffer his talentless dhead school mate on Top Gear.
Just happened to watch an episode of Max and Paddy the other day as I'd avoided it before. Terrible.

Peep Show aside, Channel 4 don't exactly have a good strike rate with great comedy.

Me too. Been rewatching it on Youtube. Never not funny.

They should bring it back.

Paddy McGuinness is coming to Top Gear with his joke.

I'd say they've had a better strike rate over the last 10-20 years than any other channel.

Yep.

Cheers and Frazier to name but 2 of the greatest sitcoms ever to appear on C4.

Father Ted. Spaced. IT Crowd. Brass eye.

There's loads of fantastic channel 4 comedy.

C4 has indeed had some superb comedy. Mostly from 20-odd years ago.

Those who sign off on new comedy seem to have dropped the baton recently though.

Tez Ilyas seems to be the name of someone who was on Radio 4 last night ("Tez Talks") and although the canned laughter seemed to enjoy it, I couldn't and someone else called Sam Simmons who followed it was no better.

I like Tez, but I was going to mention Sam Simmons earlier in the thread... I can only see that he is trading on his Aussie accent and looking like a tramp / bloke thats on the bones of his arse - he just isn't funny in the slightest and is very annoying to listen to.

Fixed that for you.

Never really rated the IT Crowd.

Great shows, but stuff shown on Channel 4 is rather different to stuff they make themselves.

Vic and Bob pretty much nailed Peter Kays ‘comedy’ on shooting stars.
