Thanks to the OP, great find.

I've often wondered about bomb damage in my local area and have just found out that the house on my site previously was destroyed by a doodlebug. It landed just over the road from my house and did some significant damage to the surroundings.

'Yersinia' - the genus of bacterium that caused the plague, Y. pestis...

Interesting - my father lived in Forest Gate during the war and recalls a V2 strike that brought the soot down the chimney all over his new jacket - seems the rocket fell 800 yards away in Grosvenor Road!
