I get it maybe once a month or so. It's sometimes "scarier" than usual. And I have the unusual feeling of mentally forcing my limbs to wake up, and can "feel" the sensation moving down my limbs, but if it doesn't happen fast enough, I FREAK out mentally and try scream.
I've had it a few times and it can be pretty scary.

My first experience was the classic woken up with a weight on my chest feeling to find a woman standing at the foot of my bed who then floated towards and through me. I was a young teenager at the time and was convinced I had seen a ghost.

Another time I was woken by a large growling shadow in the corner of the room, completely awake and completely paralysed I admit I was terrified.

Most recent bout of sleep paralysis had me woken by the sound of two men loudly breaking down my front door as I lay in bed helpless unable to move.

It's not much fun but I find the more often it happens the quicker I realise what's going on, still takes long enough to frighten the st out of me though.

Once a month? fk that!

How can you tell that it isn't a dream? I have bad dreams when I eat spuds or bangers.

Yeah, he's cool. And today Felix Baumgartner is going to break that record. Good timing.

WELL... TODAY I was JUST JOKING with you. TOMORROW I think... we should be SERIOUS.
a) when you and your engineers will stop to joke with who PAYS your costs? b) when you and your engineers will begin to GIVE correct information to World's journalists? c) when you and your engineers will stop SPONSORING stupid and useless missions? d) when you and your engineers will believe in PHYSICS and you will stop making stupid test?
  • WHAT'S YOUR MISSION? YOUR TARGET IS TO BECOME A HERO? LIKE ARMSTRONG? *
YOU TOLD SO MANY LIES about your MISSION.You will become a hero ONLY if you WILL SAY true to our people. Before to start your mission. They have TO KNOW bcoz you spend their money.
WHY you DON'T SAY to World's people that if you arrive REALLY to 23 miles (37'000 m) ALTITUDE you CAN REACH sound speed at least 3 TIMES. (1° TIME to 300m/s) then you can decelerate a little, and you CAN REACH a new sound speed (2° TIME to 295m/s), then decelerate and then accelerate UNTIL a new sound speed (3° TIME to 306m/s) and only then you COULD STOP PLAYING with World's money.
  • Remember to open your parachute. Your ONLY risk is falling asleep *
BUT IF YOU SAY this to our people, they will say you: BUT... THEN... THEN... IT'S ONLY A GAME.
YES. World's people. It's true. It's JUST a GAME to down in free fall starting from an altitude of 23 miles (37000 m.) All children have to know this. Felix Baumgartner isn't a Hero and he isn't a SuperMan.
Felix you have to know .INSTEAD. if you will ARRIVE to 23 miles (37'000m.) There will be no World's airplanes to defend yourself at that altitude. And not even drones. Just you and me up there.
SO DON'T TELL LIES to World's people. YOU must SAY to World that the ONLY real difficulty of your MISSION is JUST to reach 23 miles without BLOWING UP the BALLOON and the descent is JUST a publicity stunt FOR to SELL more BEER.
Courts, Money, Engineers for what? for a beer?
Do you will INFORM World's PEOPLE? I'm SURE you WILL DO.
God Night. HERO.
when they say he's going to go supersonic, is that breaking the sound barrier for the altitude he is at, or breaking the speed of sound at sea level, but at a higher altitude (so not actually breaking the sound barrier)?

Wow, must have had good timing as it wasn't there when I looked.

Another discussion thread here about this, so we don't ruin the wikipedia thread.

not a seriel killer, method of death etc.. just an interesting story of a killer whale.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luna_(Orca)

'After years of debate, the Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) authorized an effort in June 2004 to capture Luna and return him to his family. However, the plan was ultimately thwarted by the Mowachaht/Muchalaht First Nations, who believed Luna was a reincarnation of a former chief. The orca was killed by a tugboat in 2006.'

A few people have claimed to have found the ultimate PH way to go from that list of unusual deaths.

How about this. Ultimate PHer (unfortunately);

That Wikipedia list of unusual deaths said:
270 BC: Philitas of Cos, Greek intellectual, is said by Athenaeus to have studied arguments and erroneous word usage so intensely that he wasted away and starved to death. British classicist Alan Cameron speculates that Philitas died from a wasting disease which his contemporaries joked was caused by his pedantry.

I've long had some weird fascination with nuclear accidents. Not the catastrophic failures of facilities such as Chernobyl which devastate the surrounding population; more the utterly ridiculous/stupid ones which often leave me thinking there's no way anyone could really be that stupid.

Not wikipedia, but a nuclear accident and certainly as stupid as can be.
