In his book 'The Cosmic Connection', Carl Sagan talks about the story behind the plaque and the public's reaction to it. The irony is the woman's front bottom wasn't depicted, which makes the above censorship even more ridiculous, and at the time caused as much of a furore as if it had been shown.MartG said:
