Very anxious about the Nuchal Scan this afternoon. Will be nice to see the bump again and see that all is well but doesn't stop me worrying what they may or may not find.
Hope the scan went well I think when you've had previous problems, you never stop worrying. I've had every test under the sun this time around and no matter how hard I try not to, I *still* worry like crazy.Had another midwife appointment today (I swear I spend more time at the GP/hospital than I do at home... there's little bit of arse-covering going on I think ) and everything is still looking fine so I'm happy Thankfully no diabetes - they reckon the concerns over the excess fluid is probably because he's quite a large baby and I'm really little.

A question to all the 2012ers, did you find out the sex of your baby? If not, why not, and if you did, why?
We have our 20 week next week, and whilst we didn't want to know first time around, we are tempted with the second. Ultimately it'll be personal choice, but I'd be interested in what thoughts are around this.
We wanted to know, mainly to get the nursery prepped and buy the correct clothing, also my partner likes to have control over things and I think she wanted to know what was growing inside her.We have our 20 week next week, and whilst we didn't want to know first time around, we are tempted with the second. We found out on the 23rd December that we're having a boy Due 11th May
Congrats to all the parents of 2012 so far
Looks like your little bundle will be here for the weekend then Nicol@
My scan went well and from what they could tell the Nuchal fold was just a thin slither, obviously it needs to be matched with my bloods though. I have a very active baby, lot's of bouncing and kicking and waving during the scan.

Yes everything is well.
I went into hospital on Friday morning and didn't get out until yesterday afternoon.
I had a boy on Saturday morning at 12:13am.
He weighed 8lb 13oz! which none of us were expecting. He was too big for my pelvis, but the doctor managed to force him out in the end (that is the pretty version). He also developed jaundice which kept us in the hospital for a few days.
Life is weird now and my little one is very hungry but lovely. Just need to decide on a name now.
Will post a picture another day when I get more time.

Yeah, he was an elective section due to issues with blood pressure issues(Preeclampsia), just like his three siblings, the biggest of those was 6lb 12oz and the smallest 5lb 2oz. Family of tiddlers (even though I'm 6'2" and stocky)
My daughter was induced at 34 weeks. 4lb 14oz. Titchy, and still is. I'm quite happy with that to be honest - some of her NCT friends are massive!Stuart said:

My eldest son is now at school and definitely one of the smallest in his year, but the smallest in his year was full term normal birth, his parents are very tall and his sister is one of the taller girls in her year. It makes no sense, but there's every possibility that a growth spurt in later years could bring them back in line or taller.Gassing Station | Health Matters | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
