Hmmm. Huge conglomerate which owns many familiar brands like Anchor and Lurpack so probably no better or worse than the rest, unless you seek out the alternatives.
I got confused between Arla, company name and the product name.

The only viable alternative I can see to Skyr is Fage. And I prefer the taste and consistency of Skyr.

I prefer whole milk products. There's something just not right about skimmed/semi skimmed - no flavour and just 'feels thin'.

Fage and Arla are quite hard yoghurts, it won't run, quark is a tad thicker (I think), it wouldn't run if you turn it upside down. It has a nice creamy texture compared to the sploppy stuff that gets sold as yoghurt here.

The Arla advert is of that Icelander boy running all round the island. As far as I know only Arla and Fage have such high protein content. Fage is a tad sour, can be mixed with different things.
Fage reckons it's greek yoghurt, i.e. normal yoghurt that has been strained (traditionally through muslin) so it is thicker. So it's not much different to the sloppy stuff other than there's a bit less water (and probably whey, since it's water soluble).

The protein content and texture being the differences I referenced. I enjoy Greek yoghurt as well, but the other brands on the shelf don't seem to be close to the content of the thicker Fage stuff. Which I guess is correlative. The Arla yoghurt is looser, but higher protein still.

Skyr seems to be an improvement...flavours and a loose and solid version. biggrin

Some of what they package as yoghurt, some of what they package as quark. Blueberry, cherry, strawberry and honey. biggrin
Which one did you opt for?
What's the protein content on your 'whole' yoghurt? tongue out

Ditto, I have stopped taking crisps to work for lunch, I have these,

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00577X92C?psc=...

250g lasts me over a week, I throw a few in Porridge, yoghurts or just eat a few if getting hungry, I enjoy them and may as well get some nutrition from your snack rather than eating fried potato.

The training hasnt gone to plan this week for various reasons but the diet is a lot lot better,

No Booze for 2 weeks, lean meat and salad or veg each night, Porridge in the morning, need to sort some better lunches out than a sandwich, but I have made those myself and they are reasonably healthy, my only sins in two weeks are a few squares of dark chocolate and a small handful of midget gems.

Buy your nuts and seeds from the home baking aisle, not snacks. Vat free.

There's a new yoghurt which I use now, not as protein heavy as Fage or Arla but very tasty...and right now, I've forgotten it's name, raspberry and mango flavours. biggrin
