Just out of interest, do you wear glasses?

Not sunglasses.. But, other glasses/contacts. Even if it's not often, or if you wear them day in day out.

hehe

I've noticed at work, customers have to sign a piece of paper.. Alot need glasses on to see the writing on the paper, so I just wondered if it's 50/50, or more of yes or no.

I've got glasses that I'm meant to wear for reading/tv/computer use, but never do.

I do at the moment if I want to be comfortable in reading things.

I refuse to wear them if out for the night though so just resort to using the Flashlight app on my phone to give enough light to read the menu.

Looked into getting them lasered but apparently if the surgeon gave me good vision now then it would drop back in later life.

The alternatives are to have them lasered now so that I need glasses for distance work and hope it settles in a couple of years, or just wait until I'm in my 40's when hopefully my eyes will have deteriorated as far as they're going to and he can laser once and for all.

Worn them since I was ten.

I used to hate them (and still dislike wearing them outside when it's raining) but the idea of contact lenses or laser surgery doesn't appeal to me in the slightest.

I can see well enough to drive without them, however legally I must wear them for driving. I prefer to wear them, so that's not a problem for me. My contact lens prescription is for my left eye only.

I have needed glasses since I was 19, I wear them all the time, never bothered with contacts due to hay fever, dust at work etc. I now have varifocals which took a lot of getting used to. The only time they really bother me is riding the motorbike as it is a pain if they steam up or I have to swap to sunglasses.

Yes, but I'm bald and thus look like a spod in glasses, so I wear contacts.

Wore them for about 15 years, went for contacts for a few years too, but got sick of sticking plastic things in my eye, so went for lazer surgery. Best money I ever spent.

How do you all who wear them get on with wearing a crash helmet with specs on? My prescription is slightly positive for distance, which seems to magnify movement of the frame/lenses, making my vision less than stable. I guess that negative prescriptions do this to a much lesser extent. The helmet - a good firm fit - moves a little over bumps and in turn moves the specs arms. I wear a helmet only on trackdays so I don't do it often enough to acclimatise.

Worn them since I was 12.

I used to hate wearing them, and moved to contacts, but i soon discovered that I disliked poking myself in th eye every morning even mre. Now I have these super-light titanium flexi-frames and it makes a massive difference - I forget I'm wearing them.
