Weak and fat? Pick one. I would be strong if I were fat.

I've seen halbs training videos. He is fat and he is weak.

Fat people = half range hero's as the belly gets in the way

Thor shows the way with some serious dumbbell presses.

I was actually reflecting today that it's seated dumbbell shoulder presses that cause me lone-training issues at much lower weights than the chest press position.

Was watching this lastnight with Brian Shaw incline benching the Thomas Inch dumbbells.

poor bloke

the chat about squats reminded me of the old bloke I see in my gym sometimes, he was in yesterday.
mid 50s I'd guess, bit of a gorilla up top, chicken down below, he's the sort of fking donkey who hoovers up the 25s for the hammer leg press, wraps knees and then shifts it a few inches. saw him on the smith machine yesterday, with maybe60-80 kg of weight doing some st squats, shallow and weird movement due to the smith.

Was you checking out your form in the mirror again?

On another note. Gyms that have a website but don't put prices, drop them an email and just get a response back saying £10 joining fee and pro rata fee but no monthly costs

My current moan is that I’m really struggling to find a good PT, or one that is right for me.

Every PT I’ve come across so far seems to either dumb everything down so they can easily apply it to everyone, or just isn’t that clued up.

I’m just looking for someone who can help me on my form and help me lift heavier, but also has a good understanding of nutrition.

Just got back from a taster session at a small private gym where the guy ignored all the areas I wanted to focus on, and wanted to charge me £300 a month to follow his set, basic routine that would be the same every session... I want to do deadlifts and squats... he said ‘that’s not part of the programme’. So not a good match.

I’ve got quite into tracking food and learning about macro ratios, understanding BMR and calorie deficit/surplus. But I want a trainer who also understands this and can tell me how to switch up my nutrition to match different phases of training.

So far, I can’t find anyone suitable.

If I got a PT, I'd want an ex pro, a sportsman or competition weightlifter.

Many seem to be normal people who got into fitness then did a few courses to get qualified.

Or a hot chick hehe

Yep, most commercial gym "PTs" are glorified gym bros.
