I've never showered at my gym as I cycle home straight from it. if the weather is cold i will take off the sweaty tshirt and put on a dry one. summertime I'll stay in the same clothes as i ride back.
With how dodgy my shower is, I might shower at the gym for the minute as cold showers are getting really cold, really quick. I only shower at the gym when I’m driving the Mustang, if I’m in the Clio, I just grab my bag and drive home.

I regularly take cold baths in the morning and evenings, they feel great. It's only once the weather gets close to freezing temp do I need to use a little hot water as its so cold that the numbing of limbs starts to be too much to bare even if I'm only in the bath for 5minutes. They really get you woken up in the morning too. The only time I might hve a hot one is if I'm ill or very very cold.

Got three from this week already.

The dick who decided to drop his protein shake over the free weights and mirrors and couldn't be bothered to make any attempt to clean it aside from a poor excuse for a dirty protest on one of the mirrors.

The lady who came in to use the vibrating plate yesterday. Took the rubber mat off it and literally rode it like a washing machine on a spin cycle. I genuinely couldn't beleive my eyes- even one of the PT's walked past staring and shaking their head in disbelief..

Lastly, two huge changing rooms and lockers- use the bloody lockers. That's where they go, not next to the bench, not at the end of the running machine, in the locker. Unfortunately gym staff seem unable to ask/enforce.

If I hadn't been stood next to it I would have got a video. It was bad enough having to stop mid set whilst I had a giggle...

An increasing number of people who wear beanie type hats in the gym (why the hell would you want to do that?) but then put their headphones on over the top of them.

Am I missing something?

Limits the sweat to the head phone maybe?

THat's why I wear stuff on the head. I have a selection of bandana type things, caps and headbands. Saves my jabras getting destroyed. I've had to replace one set already, fortunately it was under a year.

but why wear headphones in the first place? just get some earphones, or bluetooth ones. anker so a great pair of bluetooth ones that cost £15 and are robust enough for sweating it out in at the gym,

Fashion, they're cold, fashion, because their mum gave them the hat last Christmas. The 'because they sweat' excuse is just that - a hat will make you sweat even more. Oh and fashion.

My 2nd set of jabra sport wireless earphones were corroded by sweat. Using an item to stem the tsunami level of flow to them has saved my warranty replaced set.

Every gym I've been to plays music anyway.

There was a young guy in my gym yesterday who was 'flossing' with kettlebells.

This mornings session...

Still protein shake splattered over the weights.
Still a knobber on the bench opposite the sign that say do not drop your weights, dropping his weights.

And also the lady riding the crap out vibrating power plate machine again.
And now I have proof:

(For those not familiar, the bottom vibrates, well, like a huge vibrator, but I don't think it's designed to be used in such a manner when there are smaller hand held alternatives available online..)

What's actually wrong with what she's doing?

She could be using it to massage her legs / glutes, which is fairly legit, I'd have thought.
