Screamers, why? why the hell do you have to talk to your muscles and scream everytime you do a rep?
It helps with a heavy lift. It's just natural to grunt or shout with a lot of effort, can help you drive through a sticking point. The latter was able to withstand significantly more pain.

Chap returns to his huge lift, does a deadlift (well) and then screams a huge grunt after that and the following two. Looks across to me, makes eye contact, then looks down at my bar, up to my eye level and smirks. Then goes back to join the others for more selfies.
I'd have held his gaze then burst out laughing. He's expected you to be cowed or awed, give him the exact opposite.

David Lloyd?
No but I was just looking at joining David Lloyd as an alternative - do they do kids clubs too? if so I might skip. - probably too expensive anyway.V8mate said:

So, following on from my comments yesterday - we had a new moron today.
Gym had quite a few new young lads in so weights were being moved around quite often, sometimes without much care and attention, so this woman walks in with her baby (6 months maybe) and plonks it down - not at the raised edge in reasonable safety but first next to the plates and free weights - but then after realising that people were lifting them over the kid, she puts it next to the power rack, where she starts to work out right next to the carry thing.
Look just to the right of the Power Rack, centre of the image - yup she left it there and quite a few more came in and started in the area.

that half-tire on a frame thing...how does that work, when you flip it, the frame would be facing up?
It pivots in the middle, walk around 180, flip it again. Bottom frame is static - or at least it would be if they bolted it down...It also has pins that takes small plates to add weight on the inside.

wow, that's pretty cool. It took me a while to figure out what it was. Smart kit.It also has pins that takes small plates to add weight on the inside.
Do businesses get notified if you review them on Google?
I'd be half tempted to leave a review of the gym, attach the photos and then send a link to the gym management. I know it's petty but it's SO dangerous and perhaps with it being public they will act on any comments you make rather than not bothering to act.

Great for limited space though.

Mental, isn't it - but you just know if anything is said, she'd kick off.
You could see her looking at people to see if she could make a point.
I think I'll send these images to the management. I've had a couple of words, nothing has been done - obviously.
I would ask what their risk assessments are for having infants in the weight room and whether their insurance covers infants in the weights area. You could see her looking at people to see if she could make a point.

Does their insurance even cover unaccompanied minors in areas like that? From my POV she is not 'accompanying' her child in the traditional sense - not an observer or engaging directly with them. She is barely in frame in some of those pictures, and certainly not paying attention.
It is just not a safe environment for an infant; if I was in that room (which doesn't look that big) I would be uncomfortable about using equipment in the same area as the infant.
