I often walk past Goldman Sachs and from street level you can see into the gym - I presume it is part of the bank.

Facilities look fantastic - but even at 7am in the morning it is super busy.
Yeah, these bloody pre-worker worker-outers! It's the second most busy period! Least busy for mine is just before or just after lunch....or of course the midnight hours. I like going at 2 in the morning, but then it has to fit in with your week. biggrin

My Son nicked all my gear, Squat Rack, benches, bars, plates, pull down machine and stuff, now needs to move suspect it will all end up dumped.

Moan wise, not really amoan but people do some weird stuff like weigh down a pull down machine and then just move it about a third of its range of motion.

Or the older gent on the cable crossover doing some weird moves with the lightest weight, looked so weird, never seen anyone do an exercise like it, I suspect he has had no training on it whatsoever, looked like he was playing tennis, hard to explain.

Another guy doing press ups like this,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9Pdh38amwE

Its got a bit quieter though thankfully.

Nope, more like Vyvyan than that.

I think some folk come in with an idea they know what to do and do some vaguely appropriate moves, but really a few sessions with a PT would work wonders. I am not expert either though I hasten to add.

I thought Hindu press ups were more like a shoulder press? You go into a full arch and press up and down? I used to do those when I were a lad.

gut man was in yesterday, doing his stty ¼squat/good morning hybrid. Then his deads where he sits around for ages inbetween his awful sets. I've never seen his do anything different. Pretty surprised to see he might be younger than I thought, he just looks old.

Broke out my old dumbbell set today. It should be pretty easy to maintain what I have.

It is depressing how easy it is to maintain compared to getting stronger. I can maintain very easily indeed, whereas progress is very slow and hard!

Wait a month then go back. People will get bored sat at home and slowly venture out etc.

I'm going to try home yoga, plyometrics etc as something different to the normal

I foresaw this, so I ordered a dipping station, some kettlebells and a training sandbag smile

Not sure it will be legal of me to break into the gym when it's closed. My local has now closed down following the news. and direct debits frozen.

Really? My observations are that the fruit & veg sections are chock full and the unwashed hordes are steaming straight past them to grab tinned/packaged foods.
