Scaled up to my height, 72kg would be 85-90kg, I guess, so you've got a decent frame for squatting.

One of the guys I really respect at my local gym is tall as hell (6'4 maybe) and does a lot of heavy and appropriate depth squats. His ROM is insane at that height.

Interesting to know how tall the strong squatters on here are. I suck at squats (150kg 1RM and cannot really blame my modest height of 5'11 smile )

I wondered if it was ever day. I do 5 days on the trott. I'm spent. 40 mins mon to Friday. I spend a lot of the weekend snoozing, mind. Lol
I did a 6 days a week workout the first half of last year, a 3 day twice weekly split. By the end of it, my shoulders were starting to suffer, though. I much prefer 3 (or sometimes 4) day workouts as I can put more into them and push further. For me, anyway.

Today - A full fat, no frills full body workout, and I barely made it to the end...

Back Extensions - 2x25

Squats - 5x12-8 and 5x5-1 rep
Bench Press - 6x12-3 reps
BB Clean and Press - 5x12-5 reps
Deadlift - 4x8-5 reps
Pendlay Row - 5x8-5 reps
Wide grip Pull Ups - 4x12-8 reps
Seated Pulley Row - 4x26-12 reps

That was one of the toughest workouts I have thus far done!

I'm 6'3, don't class myself as strong yet biggrin
Done 280kg to Powerlifting depth (given by a IPF judge I think he was).
I think diddley is 5'11ish? and too strong for his weight!

And that, my friend, is what tells you that you have lost sight of the real world! A 280kg squat is extremely strong by an sensible measure.

It may only a bodyweight squat for you, but it is damn impressive.

Is he a basketball physique, all arms and legs like a spider, or is he normally proportioned?

I had back squats today on my elimination circuit. Got up to round 6 @ 130kg.

He's just a very big man. He competes in Highland Games events.

Intense workout tonight. Later than usual and a bit tired.

DB bench press:
5 x 5 @ 34kg with big pauses
S/S with sets of 5 pull ups and hardly any rest

Squats:
9 x 115kg. Horrible. Didn't feel it at all.

One set of pull ups to failure: 15 reps

Circuit x 3 as follows:
15 x face pulls @ 15 on the machine
15 x tricep rope push downs @15
10 press ups

I really hope '15' on the cable machine doesn't mean 15kg

Standards keep getting set!
400kg deadlift used to be dreamt of, now it's warm up weight at elite level, seems you need to be pulling 440+ to be up there.
Squat wise I want 400, whether that be wraps or just sleeves.
Some building up to go but want these numbers before I'm 30, so 5 years biggrin

400kg at 6'3? You would have to be bloody massive to pull that off, wouldn't you? The physics of the thing is brutal. Aren't almost all the really good squatters basically square? As wide as they are tall smile

Ray Williams has done around 480kg at 6ft, he's 360lbs or there abouts. Claims natural and will be tested constantly I imagine so is either a squat God or clever at hiding. Regardless, 480 sleeves only is insane!!!
Gives me hope for 400 assisted or not.

I think most look square because like me they enjoy food biggrin
The core strength needed will give a square look I imagine, and a bit of tub does help biggrin

I have been training for a few months, although had a bit of time off due to a supraspinatus tendonopathy that settled with a steroid injection. Used to do a bit of vanity lifting when at school and uni (20yrs ago) but now doing complex stuff only.
I do squats/ bench/ row/ OHP/ deads. In and out in an hour.
1 warm up set of about 1/2 1RMx12 then three work sets, the last AMRAP, Monday sets of 8, Wed 6, Fri 4, with appropriate weight. If I do +1-2 reps on last set I add 2.5kg, +3-4 add 5kg, >+4 7.5kg.
Current 1 RMs Squat 120, Bench 85, row 80, OHP 65, Dead 150. Am 170cm, 90kg, 44yrs old.
Aiming for 150, 100, 100, 75, 200 without injury over the next 6m. May add some pull-ups and doing some hangs to help grip and theraband shoulder stuff between sets.

Really enjoying it.
I recommend the fitnotes app for android, free, advert free, and amazing amount of analytical detail.

Did 600km and 10km climbing on my road bike last week. Going out tonight on a 70km group ride, going to just tag along. Tomorrow night I'm going Strava KOM hunting, in my own amateurish/physically weak way. Mental aggression, however, is fully charged.

Lots of work yesterday.

Completed the second qualifier for the Strength in Depth competition.

Me and a female athlete.

150 box jump overs
125 wall ball shots
100 deadlifts (80kg/50kg).
75 Toes to bar.

Half hour rest.

Then EMOM (10 mins) 1 x snatch (squat snatch). Increasing in weight. Got to 57.5 and knocked it down for the last couple as my form was going a bit ropey.

The workout was;

50 Double unders
40 medicine ball step ups
30 hang clean (30kg)
50 double unders
40 medicine ball step ups
30 hang squat snatch (30kg)
50 Double unders
40 step ups
30 medcine ball squats.

Tough tough evening at the gym!

Jesus! Watching some of those videos, the more important question is "How many back surgeries do you plan to have before you turn 40?"

Been slacking since my trip to Berlin, not been in the gym since i got home.

Did a couple of hundred push ups before i headed into the office this afternoon, which felt good.

Will gym or cycle in the AM tomorrow.
