A small jar each of Meridian crunchy and smooth almond butter in my possession.

A teaspoon of each just been consumed.

Lovely!

Be warned - Almond butter is more addictive than meth.
and cashew butter, but the proper stuff, not the crap that's 80% peanut butter.
I don't have the self control required to buy cashew butter. frown

Indeed, on crumpets is a revelation, I'm fortunate in that the only sainsbury that carries it is 20 miles away

Doesn't removing the fat defeat the purpose? Do you add water to it? confused
I'd say! Low fat is what I keep away from. Yuk. Low fat this, low fat that, skimmed milk, yuk spreads and look where it's got us in the last 30+ years.

Even Flora are apparently going to market butter now.

Anyway, back to Peanut B. Another marmite food, love it or hate it.

I've tried the lot. You'd think Sun Pat with their history would be good - nah, you might as well buy a jar of 60p Aldi.

Making your own is probably best, but if no time then Whole Earth (crunchy) wins by a mile.

Just about to try their latest 'Threenut' Butter
Cashews, Hazlenuts and Peanuts lick

Whole Earth know how to market a good thing.

I thought the ironic thing about low fat this and that is that they then pile on the sweeteners and sugars instead which is actually the stuff that makes you fat! not the fat!

Meridian crunchy! Eat it by the spoon load
Purchased some earlier this afternoon from Holland & Barratt! smile

Not bad. Think I'll try some of the MyProtein stuff as well.
It's the same stuff.

And the spoon load is actually a ladel.

Some Meridian smooth cashew butter may have been added to the collection! smile about the equal of the cashew stuff but a tad sweeter again.

Hazelnut butter may well be purchased in the next day or two! biggrin

I don't know how you can eat it, just the smell makes me heave - but my O/H says that about Marmite. Does the stuff you're raving about smell better/less than Sunpat?

I don't know how either given I used to 'heave' at the smell when I was much younger! smile

I also wouldn't have taken to it, had I not decided to get back in to a fitness regime a few months ago, as well as sorting my diet out. As with any 'new' food your palate can adjust.

Unfortunately I have a terrible sense of smell, so even if I had smelt Sunpat, not sure I'd be able to answer your question. smile

I don't know about back in 2014 but all of Whole Earth's palm oil is now sustainable, meaning its production doesn't have a negative environmental effect and it supports the communities that produce it.

Just to throw another spanner into the mix, Whole Earth now do a dark roasted variety, which is like the red wine of the peanut butter world - I like to slum it like a down-and-out aristocrat by having the dark roasted peanut butter on toast topped with sardines, salt and pepper and balsamic gel. I wave to the peasants as I eat it in the gutter.

I'd recommend Meridian Peanut Butter. I get mine from Holland and Barrett. 0% Salt and 100% Nuts.

Delicious.

I really like Whole Earth on toast, but if it's in a shake the salt it has tastes gross compared to myprotein or Meridian.

Not sure why we're replying to 2014.

I'm am currently working my way through a pouch of Fuel10k Squeeze and Go chocolate peanut butter every day.

93% peanuts, coconut sugar, cocoa power (3%) and salt for the ingredients. Absolutely bloody lovely and very addictive.

However, nothing comes close to Meridian's cocoa and hazelnut butter!

Tried lots and end up back at either sun pat or skippy must be the sugar content!
