Anyone else suffering? Thought I'd shaken it after 50 odd years, as it's not bothered me for a couple of seasons but first nice warm sunny day yesterday and my nose has not stopped running.
Taken completely by surprise.
Took once a day allergy pill about 2 hours ago but not better but my sinuses are so swollen I think the damage has been done.
Beconase used to be my saviour. Just taken a couple of squirts but on previous form I need to be taking it for 3 days before it gets effective.
Sorry if you are suffering, just wanted to know if it's not just me.
Running out of tissues.

Thankfully tree pollen doesn't bother me, but grass pollen fks me right up.
Last year was terrible, as for the first time i couldn't go to work because of my hayfever.
I then found Prevalin Allergy Hayfever Nasal spray, with a good result.
It's an odd one, that it mixes up into a liquid, but then sets into a gel; good for a few hours.

It was a beautiful day yesterday so I dumped the A/C confines of my car and opted for the Vespa. Bloody loved the 40 odd mile run around the countryside but must of force injected the pollen along the way.
My nose has been running since yesterday afternoon and just won't stop, despite an allergy tablet and Beconase plus staying indoors with windows that have not been open since last Autumn.
Gotta get another tissue....

Yes, been suffering quite badly for a few weeks now. Started earlier last year too, but this is a record for me, beginning of March!
Unfortunately nothing OTC really works for me so I take Telfast/Fixofenidine (?) on prescription. Seems to work well. Fingers crossed it eases off by June like last year.
No idea what's going on really, only started suffering in late teens till I was around 26. Then nothing for about 10 yrs and then been struggling again for past 6!! All very odd and really bloody annoying, to the point of miserable

Last 3-4 years have literally wiped me out during grass pollen season. Usually hits me towards the middle of April and continues until end of July.
Been through every OTC treatment available, doctor currently has me on Fexofenadine which he says is the strongest thing he can prescribe. Still barely scratches the surface on bad days.
Seriously considered constructing one of these last year:

I recently found a different hayfever pill to take. I've tried loratadine and cetirizine hydochloride pills and both don't work 100% for me.
This year I've picked up some acrivastine based ones from Sainsburys and they are working much better.
I am on the normal cetirizine/loratadine permanently as I have Urticaria & that normally copes with my hayfever. But last year my hayfever kicked off in early March & only the acrivastine worked for me. Interesting to know Sainsburys do one though. This year I've picked up some acrivastine based ones from Sainsburys and they are working much better.
Mine has started earlier than usual this year, normally get a litle bit of summer before it kicks off.
Have the itchy eyes and lots of smeezing first and using my reliever inhaler that hasn't been touched since last summer. Have to use the brown inhaler all year round though.
When it kicks off properly I gave used beconaise and loratadine which gave bern reasonably effective.

Another sufferer here... thankfully no signs yet though, I normally start taking Loratedine OTC meds in late April
Last year I took them for too long though and ended up suffering some quite bad side effects in early September so this year I'm going to go straight to the docs in a couple of weeks and see if I can get something stronger that I don't need to take for as long.

I've had the worst start to the season. I lost my voice twice because of a reaction to dried fruit; dried apricots. Stick with me, not a belated 1 April joke.
I use dried fruit in cereals and recently switched to dried apricots. I didn't connect this to the increase in symptoms. These included being very 'chesty', difficulty breathing to the extent of having to sit, not being able to do aerobic exercises as my heart rate was pushed up.
Long story short sort of thing, it would appear the sulphur dioxide used to dry the fruit can cause reactions in asthmatics. I'm not one, but it can do similar to hay fever suffers. I stopped the apricots and symptoms were reduced. I'm still worse than normal, and my voice is still croaky.
I did post this a couple of weeks ago but the mods binned it. I wonder if they thought it was a gee-up. Here is a link:
