bad weekend for me, total and utter failure of willpower involving:

drinking alcohol every night thurs-sun
a large dominos pizza
chinese takeaway
pringles, hula hoops and quavers (my little boys like hula hoops and quavers respectively)
an entire bag of 'more to share' minstrels
a scone with clotted cream and jam
a strawberry tart from morrisons
pain au chocolat and pain au raisan for breakfast

resulting in my being 93.7kg last night. Enough is enough. I'm on it now, until the end of July, with one exception being next saturday night when an old friend is visiting.

Not weighed myself but wasn't the best weekend.....

Ate very healthily up to Saturday:

eg. Friday:

Smoked cheddar & advocado sandwiches for lunch (seed bread)
Salmon with brocolli & french beans
No snacks....

Then on saturday I had a big exam:

Pro plus...
Bircher breakfast
pro plus
monster energy
above sandwiches
apple
then...in the evening....lager x 8 pints, BBQ meat platter with sweet potato fries...

Sunday:
Toast with jam for breakfast (seeded again)
Scone with jam and cream for lunch
Roast belly pork
Sweet potato fries & colslaw for dinner

Yesterday:
banana & strawberries for breakfast
salad for lunch...
Large mixed kebab for diner......

Hitting the gym hard this lunchtime!!!!!

Mortified to weigh in at 81.6 kg with dietician a couple of weeks ago, but on Monday got confirmation that my calorie target was far too high, so there's that banghead shall see how 4 weeks on 1350-1650 kcal goes now.

The new focus is working, back to 14.7, my previous lightest in living memory, a bit lighter, than that even by half a pound biggrin

I am getting in my man shed most nights and doing 30 to 45 minutes of weights a night, then a half an hour walk.

Am having two scoops of whey with a scoop of oats in milk for breakfast, salads and soups for lunch, normal dinners, limited snacks, anyone tried those "NAKD" bars, they are tiny and quite expensive but dense and filling, also really quite nice, I avoided them like the plague for ages as thought they were the normal health food nonsense but they really do the job if you are needing something, one with a brew sorts me out for a couple of hours.

My youngest (18) came in grinning, he said one of his mates had said "Jesus, you dads a big fella", obviously I thought he meant fat as that is what I am used to but he said no, he said he was a bit intimidated biggrin had just got back from the gym so was a bit pumped up and had a gym T shirt on biggrin

Good going, how much to go ?

Going out tonight with some old work colleagues, last went out with them on the 7th of October last year, when I was 17 st 1, on that day I said I didnt think getting to 15 would be enough and my target was 14 and a half, which is what I am now, so I am 36 pounds lighter than when I last saw them and have changed my target downwards to 14, maybe lower.

So that was this weeks target, another pound by next Friday.

BMI is still 27.5 (Overweight), guess I am but the range is 9 st 10 to 13 st 3, not sure how it fits in with lifting weights.

End goal is to get down to 100kg as that sees me at around 16st smile heavy weekend on beers and a few meals out means I'm a few kg heavier now so back on it to shift it!

I had a planned night out on Friday, went out 14. st 7, and since, I have been 14.11, I appear to have drunk a few beers and a small dog.

How the hell do I put 4 pounds on with one night, it usually goes a day or two after but we are four days later ffs, I dont feel any heavier so where did 4 pounds end up ?

Back on my bike this week, hitting the gym, amazing how much of a setback one night can be.

I managed 4 pounds over the weekend even though I don't feel bloated or heavy today. Picked up some kettle bells today for a good workout!

I notice you've got my name on the list, and I've never replied! To be honest, I was avoiding the thread as I've made no progress.

Regardless, I am starting properly now, so I'll just have to work a bit harder to catch up... Starting weight of 87kg, weighed the other day.
84kg now.

Not too late to join this I hope

5'7, 41 and 103kg at the start of February. Down to 89kg on the 2nd April and 87kg this morning (although Sunday is my usual weigh-in day). Would like to get down to about 75kg which is where I was at the end of 2009.
Diet's been going well. I reckon, using the MyFitnessPal app I'm consistently in the 1200-1400 calorie range and on work days I'm walking about 5 miles. I've also started cycling again after an almost 20 year hiatus. The past week I've been on leave working in the garden including 4 days of heavy landscaping and I got three 10-15 mile bike rides in so the weight's been falling off.

83.5kg this morning which means, I think, that in old school terms I think I've lost 3 stone in almost exactly three months.
81.2 kg this morning so 22kg lower than the start of Feb. Still a good rate of progress and am maintaining a calorie intake in the 1200-1400 range but I'm having to up my activity a lot to keep the weight loss going. It's helping that we've just kicked off the step challenge at work so I've an added incentive to be more active.
Sunday weigh-in: 78.2kg

A little bored but still going. Almost 25kg down, 3 to go. I've been doing some concreting today and it's slightly hard to get my head around the fact that 4 months ago I was carrying around extra weight equivalent to one bag of cement, all of the time.
Boys weekend last weekend including the River Cottage build and bake course so beer, bbqs, bread and more beer. Thus a bit of a break from weighing myself... but this week was good and the latest Sunday weigh in is 74.3kg and, hurrah, below the target I set above. That may flatter me a bit- I'm likely mahoosively dehydrated after working outside yesterday.

People are still asking me if i'm dying.

Going to try to get to 72.7kg as that puts me (just) into the "healthy weight" range on the NHS website and I probably haven't been in that since I was 18. Hopefully I can get there by the end of June.

Ditto, dropped back to 203, then had a big night out ten days ago and have not been less than the 14.9 I am now, seems to be my default weight.

Not been that rigorous though.

Have to admit, I lost motivation with this ages ago I'm up to 101 kg, need to get down but in order to do I need to eat like a bloody Saint; I don't eat badly as it is, but I have to up a gear and it's so hard, I'd understand if I ate st, takeaways etc and I was a lazy sod but I don't and I'm not.

I excercise, I'm on my feet alot and I have dogs to walk.

Maybe a new focus is required for the next quarter, I know I can do it as I lost 5 kg in Jan/Feb, but it wasn't easy.

I'll set up a Q3 if anyone is interested. Seems like a few of us have struggled this quarter.

I'm going to have a "sprint" in July, as I don't think my motivation can sustain a whole quarter and I have two (yes, count em folks, two!) holidays in august.

I'm definitely in on that one....

Got a holiday booked for Mid-September that I want to be lean for....also the possibility of 1-3 months gardening leave if all goes well means that I may have some time to actually do something about it!

Yes go for it. I need some motivation again!
