Phat Fighters Q3
Discussion
Current weight ~103-105kg. (227-231lbs).
Goal weight - 70-75kg*
Based on a 'realistic' weight loss. end of Q3 I could potentially be down to as low as 90kg.
I just know that if I simply cut the booze I'd melt it off as that's easily over 2000cals a week. Combine that with going gym more often then I normally do (1-2times a week). just need to cut it out and be consistent! I keep saying to myelf 'oh if I do it now ill be back to my normal weight in 6 months'. then come that time I think to myself 'ahh if only i started back then'. especially when it comes to summer time and I'm wanting to buy new clothes, or winter and wanting to buy a new coat. but I've put buying new stuff on hold as I feel that 'ill just wait until I'm not fat anymore'
*based on photos I've seen of people my height. Although I feel I would be happy to get under 80kg.

Noob to Phat Fighters but want to add my own details in.
47 years old, weighing in at 130.5kg at the moment, would like to say I can get down to 120kg by the end of the Q, would be really nice to go further but let's see what happens, interestingly this is going to be a somewhat stressful quarter as I am in the middle of moving house (which isn't going well, completion date slipped by two weeks yesterday), throw in the 10 - 12 hour working days and I may just struggle.

Been house sitting for the mother in law, loads of crap food in, quite a bit of boozing and still weigh 14 st 8, she has a pool so swimming twice a day, going to the gym and a days manual work volunteering on old planes may have mitigated it a bit.
Still would be nice to break through that barrier, lowest so far being 14 st 7.
However, its easy to lose sight though and fret about it, this time last year I was 18 stone and not managing it, sure, would like to be a bit lighter than now but still down 3 and half stone, a lot fitter and have gained muscle, but the main thing is keeping track of my weight and not letting it spiral out of control.
Going away in two weeks, so no booze until then, then come back and have signed up at a new, bigger and better gym.

Thanks for the update FredAstaire, it's nice to see the progress online
next weigh in is tomorrow for me. I'm purposely doing it on a Friday in the hope it stops me from being too bad this weekend. Some treats are allowed but I know myself too well and how easy it is to slip back into bad habits.

Still the same weight but bought some new jeans, 36's were hanging off, 34 were spot on, never thought that would happen.
Buying clothes is a lot more fun when you are slimmer, and happy to buy nicer, more expensive gear rather than tents from Tesco.
The clothes shopping is the absolute worst bit of this journey for me but only because I hate it so much. Thanks to my shrinking body changing regularly I have shopped more this year than I probably have in the past 5. Usually from the cheap shops and supermarkets as trousers only last a month or 2 at best before they become too big for me and I'd hate myself if I spent more. I've decided once I hit my target I'm going to invest in some really good quality classic clothes that will last for years as long as I don't undo all the good work. I'm also hoping they will serve as a reminder that I should not over eat

Trouble is, now, back and shoulders are fairly bulky but not so much belly, so XL fits for the shoulders but in a lot of stuff you get a lot of material round the stomach area, so it hangs off and can have like 8/10 inches of spare cloth billowing around, so something that fits really well, looks good that will last is worth paying for, aiming to buy better stuff, look after it and get the use from it, I bought a pair of diesel jeans in September and have worn them every week, will do until they fall apart.

I'm another one who hates shopping. Luckily I had some older smaller stuff in the loft which I can now fit into which will keep me going for a while.I've decided once I hit my target I'm going to invest in some really good quality classic clothes that will last for years as long as I don't undo all the good work. I've also got a great motivator, as I've just got my orange marshal's overalls and they just fit and no more. I can't afford to backslide and ideally need to get a bit more off.
Hi Guys,
As someone who participated heavily in the Q1 challenge, and started off well in the Q2 challenge, I had a bad couple of days which turned into a week....then 2 weeks...you get the idea. Before long I didn't see the point or have the motivation to log back onto here and face the reality of losing weight again.
Thankfully the damage has been limited to +5kg from my lowest, however, this is still 11lb, almost a stone to get back to where I was.
Anyway, I am very much back on board now (despite having a holiday coming up in two weeks) my intention is to maintain a steady loss each week and firstly, hit my previous low of 94.6 then push on towards 90kg.
It starts today. 100.5kg this morning.
Good luck all.

I've almost gone through all my smaller stuff now which is good because it means I weigh less than I did 15 years ago but not so good for my bank account. I'm just thankful I've never cared about fashion I've also got a great motivator, as I've just got my orange marshal's overalls and they just fit and no more. Confession time. I was bad last night and had a couple of bags of crisps. They sneaked into the basket at the supermarket and I couldn't not eat them. This is a big problem for me and today I'm worried I've lost my resolve to stop eating unhealthily. At the start of the year job pressure had me seriously worried I was heading towards heart attack/stroke territory hence deciding to change my lifestyle. So kick up the backside is done and I will go back to avoiding the crisp aisles again.
