A doing the Dry January after caning it (by my standards) during December, found it pretty easy which is pleasing.

Just now wondering what to do after the 31st now, have lost half a stone but still need to lose two more, do I just not have any or just limit it ?
Speaking from personal experience (gave up totally in 2012) it is far, far easier to stay off it than try to limit it.
Yeah, probably right but I enjoy it and have never been a problem drinker, can take or leave it.

Certainly not counting the hours, not really had any urge to have a drink, even when going out so will see how I get on, I dont want to ever declare that I am teetotal or anything, will keep the option open.

I’m pleased I had so few in Jan (though had no impact to weight..) given a very hard Dec/Nov/Oct/Sept/Aug.. then that blazing hot summer needing drinks to cool down. That said apart from time off or Xmas parties it’s only ever Fri and Sat but was heavy.

Tonight I’m going to have a drink - it’s France v Wales ??????????????. Not sure how many probably not as much as previously (maybe 3-4 which would be an eye opening low level for rugby days)
I've bought some Brains SA for tonight. Cymru am Byth.

how the hell does someone manage so much? After a while i just end up feeling far too bloated. this is made worse if i try to drink quicker. in an evening out i might average 6-8 at the very top end. but 23? eeesh

I’ve done - for my sins (on different occasions)
3 bottles of wine in a minute
10 pints in 30mins and carried on all night
The power hour(those who drink know what that is).
A pint of spirits in one - birthday punishment.
Blindfolded sitting on a chair tube in the mouth 2x 4pint pitchers poured in and the buggers kept pouring scotch - Rugby initiation (vomited everywhere instantly).

And you are also a well known Walt. 3 bottles of wine in a minute? I don't think I could pour it that fast, let alone drink it that fast. It's roughly equivalent to a bottle of spirits, which I can drink without falling over - but wine? It'd take me way longer. Call it half an hour if I was in a hurry to get steaming drunk. That's around 2.25 litres of wine - I couldn't drink that much water in a minute, let alone wine.

Why lie? Nobody believes you, they laugh at you. It's a bit pathetic, really.

Don’t forget the time you drank a entire swimming pool as a bet and then ate a herd of cows.

We put 2 straws into each bottle to aid the faster flow - I had unfortunately 2 reds which are much harder to do that.

Yes it gets you steaming drunk in about 5 mins or less after doing it. Never will I do it again

Not through straws - you put straws into a bottle and bend them mouch over he mottle opening turn bottle upside down it means there is no air lock in the liquid so it flows much faster and you don’t have to take your lips off the bottle to allow air in.
I’m surprised a seasoned drinker isn’t aware of strawpedo...

Lol.

Doing it with bottles of beer bottle on the table mouth round the bottle stopwatch ready head up and suck all the way - then slam it down. 2 second bottles of Bud are doable repeatedly.

Downing a pint - clearly no straws needed as no air lock issue best I ever got to was low 5 seconds basically 3 massive gulps, I never mastered the literally pouring it down.

Note 3 in 60 seconds is savage first one you can do in 10 seconds ish 2nd 15-18 seconds but then that 3rd... That really does take the whole of the remainder of the minute.
Then sit down / quickly exit left to the vents and hurl (holding 3 in you’ll go from stone cold sober to collapsing in under 10mins/ epically stupid but I’ve done it).

God knows how some people down whole bottles of scotch or Tequila ...... leave those games for the hardened drinkers.
