After a dip in mood this week, I'm back positive and hyped up!

40 mins treadmill this morning

Push after work

Cable lateral raise - 15kg x 12 x 3
Rope pushdown - 45kg x 15, 45kg x 15, 50kg x 12
Single arm pushdown - 30kg x 12, 35kg x 12, 40kg x 6
Cable chest fly - 25kg x 12 x 3
Low incline smith chest press - 50kg x 20, 90kg x 12, 90kg x 12
Smith shoulder press - 50kg x 15, 50kg x 20, 50kg x 20
Forearm curl - 17.5kg x 15 x 3

75 situps
60 leg raises

No big weights moved but loads of blood pumped. Felt pretty good.

Got a medical in the morning for my hgv license and then I'm going to train at the good gym.

Following on from my first post today, the gym branch I was at had a hip abductor/adductor machine to add into the workout.

25kg adduction. 15x4.
35kg abduction. 15x4.

Working out and stretching those muscles was long overdue and felt great.

Isn't that the machine women gravitate towards when they 1st join a gym, because they mistakenly think it will slim their thighs ?

Been for hgv medical this morning, literally 2 minutes, £58 haha

Walked 5.5 miles early morning, just over 10k steps

Then to Next Level gym for a pull.
Really good session on the fantastic equipment.

Got some progress pics, finished diet phase now so I'll try to maintain this over Xmas and drop a bit more next year before holiday.

The difference from August til today is decent

Nice Adz.

Little PB for me today. Hate to use a cliché but there was definitely a bit more in the tank for me today. Unfortunately the overhead didn't go so well, 100kg target was not happening.

Yesterday, big shoulder session, seat press off the smith machine, 70kg felt st, got into the groove, 95kg felt really good, happy, then leg extensions, 4 sets at full stack, followed by walking lunges, managed a quick 45 minutes on Zwift, topped the live leaderboards in all the sprint and hill categories, then it was out to a beautiful hotel for the night with my wife and a fabulous meal along our seafront for a steak night, Aberdeen Angus was my choice, at 33oz not even close to my PB!

Today, seated rows for back, then around 200 pull ups, need to knuckle down next week on the pull up front if I'm to get to my target of 50 before the years end, the a strong hour on Zwift, a much needed swim in the bay to cool off.

So another calorie jump today. Taking my new total to 2050, up from 1860.

I’m having these extra 200kcals from these….

193kcal and 16g protein per 50g serving.
I add my second shake making this roughly 300kcal and 37g protein.

Will try it with my whey isolate next week…that’ll be 43g protein and slightly less calories.

Ideal snack that cures any sweet tooth.

Top tips.

I'm ditching shakes now, certainly till the New Year. I really dont like the one I have although it is 24g protein for 108 calories in a 30g scoop, but I probably only take it two or three times a week so as a supplement it is pointless. Same with my creatine. It's all going in the bin and I am going to figure out how to eat 'enough' protein within my 1500 calories, so eggs, tofu, edame, even oatmeal has protein. I am going to start taking a lunch to school because some nights I am not eating until nearly 7 at night and I'm in bed just after 8, sleeping for 9 so a very wasteful time to eat.

I am going to put my foods into containers in the fridge and have calories on the lid so I can better track exactly what I am having as i prepare my meals. Have not trained this week and not eaten much, feel a bit flat but will get back in tomorrow and hit it hard. Looking forward to it.

Hope everyone had a great weekend, some brilliant progress as ever. I had a sort out of clothes last night and found 5 pairs of jeans and 5 waistcoats, most still have tags on, that now fit me, and the last time they did was 6 years ago. Christmas bonus!!

Peace and love all, gbn x

Ps, my go to 'snack' for sweet tooth is medjool dates. I'd honestly rather have one than a bar of chocolate. Like a sticky toffee pudding fruit!!

I'd keep the creatine in mate, has so many benefits. Just my personal opinion.
