No gym tonight, been to visit mum instead.
Hope mum is ok Adz.

No gym this morning, and I was properly knackered at work, I think because I HADN'T been. Will go tomorrow for a tentative circuit. Mouth still very raw and angry feeling so not risking any over exertion. I have an interview tomorrow so want to be mentally 100% and gym always helps with that.

Yesterday, 45 minutes of L sits and muscle ups, fkin beat up after that, turned out to be a long day of activity, on my feet from 6am til 9pm and close to 32000 steps.

Today, woke feeling utter dogst zero motivation or strength like I was going down with something, lunch session of plate loaded pull downs was a huge effort, surprisingly got to 3 and a half plates ether side for 7 which is a pb by some margin, very odd.

Then a hour on the road, same feeling of lethargy, usual Tuesday route which has some horrid climbs and headwind around the back end, anyway just under 35kph avg which is one of the quickest rides on this course ever as well as a load of fastest times this year on the climbs according to strava, I've given up reading the sensations my body sends me.

Thanks pal, she had 2nd dose of chemo yesterday so pumped full of steroids and bouncing today, no doubt will be knackered in a few days when they wear off.

Good luck for tomorrow!

7k run at lunch, new route, took it fairly easy. It’s quite a revelation running that kind of distance and not struggling, could have carried on but had to be back for work, cardio fitness went from 41.2 to 41.6.

Did think would go to the gym but went last night, do occasionally do two seasons in a day, I.e a run and gym but aiming to do one a day, so will go tomorrow.

Did two hours jetwashing the drive instead, not exactly physical but it is activity and fresh air.

All the best to your mum, Adz.

Gi fundamentals class tonight. Slower pace, no rolling. An hour of practicing a sweep which makes up part of a sequence we’ve been learning. Being only an hour it goes very quick.
Doing a mix of 101 fundamental classes and training with the higher belts is proving to be a good mix for me.

Seriously wondering if my knees would stand up, no pun intended, to a bit of Jiu-Jitsu training maybe once a week. Not been on a mat since 'retiring undefeated' after a no gi local grappling contest at my mates club...about 15 years ago...and that was my first time on a mat in over ten years!!

Today, great little workout with my wife today, midweek means chest then some grip work, back doing flat bench (smith) for the first time since xmas and blowing my rotor cuff, steady warm up sets with 80kg then 8 with 100kg then two final sets with 110kg for 6, they actually felt pretty easy but didn't want to push too hard, so happy with that, then 4 sets of dips for 10 off the rings which is st hard exercise to master, well for me anyway, then 20 minutes of grip work to finish, nice little pump on the forearms was had.

Nice to have to you back in Smiffy!
Great numbers.
Thanks, although I still don't frequent here anywhere near as often.
Probably because I drive an EV now, no longer a Piston Head laugh (I do have a project when I can afford to finish it though)

Tonight I massively undershot my 3RM 2" deficit deadlift and finished on a comfortable 280kg.
I wanted 260 minimum to know my hamstrings are in a good position, 300 felt greedy prior but after my set I should've just sent it.
Holding back a smidge though too since I've not been anywhere near this weight in months.

Not the right place for it I guess but I went to the gym tonight to train chest. Part of my chest routine is using cables. Seated flies using a cable followed by standing single arm flies.

Saw what I thought was a spare cable and the cable next to it had some stuff around it. Was checking my phone waiting for the guy to come back so I could ask if he was using both cables or just one side.

Person appears. Taps me on the shoulder from behind I m using this I tried to respond to ask if he was using both sides or 1 side. And I am not joking. He said. ps off, I am using this. I will fk you up if you don t leave right now. I tried to say something and before I could even get a word out he said I will slap the st out of you don t talk to me .

I was in shock! I moved to a different machine which had become free and just carried on but what the fk!

I know I did the only correct thing which was to just ignore it and carry on but man it feels crap. But then having a fight with a random gym guy wouldn’t have done me any favours.

Nothing today, likely nothing till next week now except light cardio. Full of cold and get another two teeth out after school, last round of extractions thankfully. Work from home tomorrow all organised so if I have a repeat of last weeks debacle I'll not need another day off...

Bowl of porridge for breakfast, likely last solid food till Saturday....

Cardio circuit this morning - had a day off on Wednesday as was away with work. It shouldn't do, but it unsettles my routine missing a session. All back to normal now.

I would pursue it and let him lash out, get him banned from the gym biggrin

But, likely all mouth, watch him and if he sticks around, maybe think of something evil to do.

Gym last night, chest, got peed off finding equipment not in use, headphones were flat so went on the cross trainer and had a sulk.

5k run at lunch, 29:13, 16 sec off my best, Cardio Fitness now at 41.9, up 0.3 from Tuesday.

Sounds like a right dhead. Sadly, the world is full of them.

Adductor x 3
Press x 4
Calfs X 3

It was three bottom teeth not two and one was a right bugger. This is the most tender and sore I have been although there seems to be minimal bleeding. Dentist noticed the previous weeks extraction sites are slightly infected so course of antibiotics added. Thankfully thats all of the extractions done, just need to let everything settle down now before deciding next steps!! I'm gonna head out for some longer walks over next three days and hit gym Sunday is the plan. Take care all, peace and love always, gbn x

Pull today, the new equipment has started to arrive at work so I tried out the new plate loaded lat pulldown, it's nice.

45 mins treadmill this morning

dB hammer curl x 3
Preacher x 3
Lat pulldown x 3
Iso row x 2
Lat cable pullover x 3
Forearm curl x 3
Shrugs X 3
125 situps

Went pretty heavy on iso row, hence only 2 sets. Felt good!

Today shoulders and arms, seated shoulder press (smith) not used for a while, so happy with a final set of 95kg for 6, then then 2 sets of cable curls 85kg, finished off with a load of core work.

Then a very solid 50 minutes on Zwift.

What a bellend!
Some anger issues going on there.

180kg per hand farmers walk for 10m PB tonight, limited by the run length but super happy to bounce back to this standard so quick biggrin
