Need some advice please.

Have been loosely following a vertical diet for the past few months, with pretty restricted carbs. Typically aiming for 1,350 kCal/day, macros:

Protein: 162g
Carbs: 71g
Fats: 47g

Bodyweight c86kg and my goal is to be 80kg. I'd say I'm around 20% BF.

However, I seem to be pretty prone to picking up coughs and colds and struggling with energy problems (which I'd initially attributed to the newborn baby) and it's got me wondering whether or not I'm eating too little.

Thoughts pls?
You say you've been following it for a few months: what has your weight loss been to-date?

At 1,500 cals, I can drop 6kg in 6 weeks... so if you're not seeing much shift it does support your question as to whether your body has gone into starvation mode.
Started at just under 90kg and, when following it strictly along with 5/2 IF I dropped to 82.5kg. Not feeling particularly fit and well though so wondered if restricted calorie intake might be an influencing factor.

Ham curl: 3x F

Only other thing I've tried 21s with are pull-ups & chins.

Doing a full session with 21s on every movement would be interesting!

Could you do a deadlift 21 too? biggrin

7 Romanian deadlifts
7 Pendlay rows
7 full deadlifts

I realise that mortals would probably usually DL twice-plus what they do on the first two - but by that stage you'd be quite knackered!

that'd be a super set I guess, don't think it'd be too bad! 21's gotta be the same movement, just split into 3 portions. Heavy deadlift is a bad idea for it!

I might give it a go - kick it off at a suitably puny 60kg and see how it goes!

DID two of the Crossfit team series work outs today.

1). 7 minute time cap.
20 synchro sq cleans @60,80,100 (managed 43 reps - my partner’s cleans aren’t her strongest lift).

2) 7 minute time cap
AMRAP bar facing burpees.
We did 97. Chuffed with that score!

The burpee one was tough! Give it a go..

C. 200 miles cycling this week, riding round Lake Balaton in Hungary and other bits.

stty squat session on Friday, think my legs were fatigued from the cycling. 90kg felt like 190...

Much better shoulder session yesterday, felt really good.

Lazy day today.

'Your max is my warm up'?

Careful about throwing stones, mate. He's half your weight and doesn't rest/drag it over his belly!
