I'd say your dip is bang on, any deeper and you'll lean forward a bit. Also, learn to split/power Jerk, an instant +20kg on your overhead- it really is silly not to practice. Yes, it's not all 'Strongman strength'- but that doesn't matter if you lose to someone weaker whos technically better at putting weight over head!
It's something I want to learn, I could try it this weekend when the Olympic lifting PT is in for some tips.

is that with legs flat on floor?
Yeah, completely flat, close grip. Bar stops about 2 inches above my chest if I drop it. It's a fantastic exercise, either with constant tension, or starting bottom up each rep. There is no room to cheat, arch or get in a better position- just pure pressing.

I'm a huge fan of the floor press, although, I use dumbbells.

Absolutely zero leg drive, just pure pressing, as you say. I keep my legs together when I do it (!)

I always get lots of questions & comments when I do it at my gym. Seems not a lot of people are aware of it.

Iirc Lost_BMW on here was also a big fan.

It was my 3rd pressing exercise- way more there fresh, probably more than I can bench, at a guess, because I'm a flat back bencher anyway- so i'd expect 140 for 10 if I tried.

One of my Youtube favourites is a powerlifter in Berlin. He has the classic German physique and lifts so strongly and with perfect form (one of the main reasons I like to watch his videos).

Last 2 days off the bike this week, had work drinks so didn't commute by bike.

Bicep (and shoulder/forearn/wrist tbh) have been fking agony this time too. Kept me awake a lot of the night.

Will go and squat again tonight but may leave the arm well out of proceedings.

His name's Romano - one of a group of powerlifters at Berlin Strength.

Here's a video of him alone just working his way up through a series of increasing deadlifts followed by deficit deads

https://youtu.be/S07o31eAyKA

Here's his mate - Philip Mummhardt - I mentioned, bouncing some weights around.

120kg - https://youtu.be/MV5D0PPSSAc?t=356
140kg - https://youtu.be/MV5D0PPSSAc?t=438

This is the video - below - where Philip first came to my attention (to this day one of my favourite YT lifting vids). Really great insight into the differences between the 'blood, sweat and tears' powerlifters and the technique-driven weightlifter.

The powerlifters are doing some big squats; then Philip comes along and asks if it's ok if can play too biggrin
Well worth watching through properly - some proper chuckle-worthy moments.

I can't really arch myself so just get tight in a flat ish position and crack on.
You ever tried doing other exercises first to see how they compare fresh? Would be interesting to see if you did.

Time is limited, and the first choice impacts the other exercises- so I tend to stick to my 'bang for buck' movements first. I know pressing weakens as my session progresses though.

Missed last nights session as i had to seperate my 2 Huskies from one of my mum's cats yesterday morning. Cat is fine but to say thankyou for saving him from the Huskies, he decided he'd claw the palms of my hands, my wrists and the back of my head. Right wrist is a bit swollen but it's deload week and wanted to get a good deload week in because going for 1 rep max test next week, with Squat on Monday evening.

Going to see if i can do some deload squats tonight with legs, hopefully bench tomorrow and move a few sldl about and get them done tomorrow as well.
