Your'e an inch taller wink diet must be strict then?
most days 1500 and pretty clean, working in Intermittent fasting. 5 days in the gym.
my diet is mostly carbs from green vegetables and a bit of sweet potato , chicken, fish, steak once a week (fillet). lamb shank once a week because it's tasty

lunches are Tuna, boiled eggs, cottage cheese. banana/apple

no real mystery-cut the starchy carbs and it falls away. limiting my wine intake sadly

Im bloated now, sunday roast with all the trimmings, 2 pints of lager and victoria sponge and a few wine gums. I need a snooze smile

Pretty much mirrors mine, will throw in stuff like dried fruits and nuts also natural yoghurt and peanut butter to keep the calories high.

Pull Day>

BB Row: 227.5kg x 10, 190kg x 21
1 arm Cable row: RPF
High cable row: 4x F
EZ Preachers: RPF
Reverse EZ curls: 3x F

Went in a bit sore- Bicep and trap felt like the had doms, dunno why, must have slept funny. However, great session. My head went fuzzy during the 190 rows, though i'd finished at 12 reps, then watched back to my surprise. Also felt sick after them.....

But, pretty decent.

Whilst not majorly impressive I broke my PR for leg press today. My record is now 240KG (I weigh 80KG).

I hadn't done leg press for at least 2 weeks as I've been busy working so started off small and just built it up as I went along:
10 x 80KG, 10 x 120KG, 10 x 140KG, 10 x 160KG, 8 x 180KG.

Then I just wanted to see how far I could go. So did 5 x 200KG, 5 x 210KG, 5 x 230KG and then 2x 240KG.

I could probably have done a bit more but I'd like to be able to walk tomorrow!!

I've been running around 3-4 miles per week and I finished 1 mile this morning. Not looking to break and times or anything, just getting outside and working on my aerobic capacity some. Also started a new strength and muscle program this monring ( https://physiqz.com/powerlifting-programs/) after taking a break for a couple of months after tweaking my knee some. I did 100kg on bench for 5x3 followed by some accessories for triceps, back, and chest. Feels good to be back at it! Any other powerlifters or strength athletes here?

I think everyone who posts in this thread is into their fitness in some big way.
It always amuses/puzzles me when I see posters elsewhere on the board claim 'xyz' and they have never set foot in here.

sharps is a powerlifter, huge bencher. There are others who dabble.
Sniffy wants to be in WSM in a few years, I used to PL and DD used to, he's more into checking himself out in mirrors these days. biggrin

Couple of progressions today.

5,5,4 - Assisted Pistol Squats
7,7,6 - Neutral Grip Pull Ups - sort of less but with much better body control
6,5,5 - Diamond Pike Push Ups
4,4,4 - Hanging Bent Leg V Raises
5,5,5 - Uneven Push Ups
5,5,4 - Elevated Inverted Rows - one leg extended
4,4,4 - Dips, forward bent legs
3x5 - Eccentric Dragons - getting stronger at these. First few feel epic then I turn into a jelly belly mess trying not to cry like a girl. Bizarrely feeling good about them smile

Is there anyone here that only lifts once a week? and anyone who might have done it whilst on a fatloss/cut? I'm contemplating this as it's just too cold for me to cycle over to my local gym. I can use my work gym, but only for cardio (as the rest of their weights are really crap, and nowhere to do all the big lifts).

Only really thinking of doing this i suppose for the next 6 weeks or so, until spring comes back around and the weather is 10+ degrees'C

I’d be a basket case if I only lifted once a week!

Don't have a car. Being in london I don't need one. (and not going to get one just to head to the gym)

Like an idiot however I slipped in the snow this morning and landed quite heavily on my shoulder. I felt it twinge straight away. Very similar to an injury I had following a motorcycle accident a few years ago, just on the other side.

I did my pull day today and it didn’t seem to aggravate it.

Bit gutted though as it’s been a few months since I had an injury, and I really feel like I am getting into my stride at the moment.

Across 2 sets of l sit pull throughs I did 2 individual tuck planche push ups which I feel like is a huge step up for me, even if the form was undoubtably ropey.

I'll have you know I rekon I could hit an 800kg total with a few months of specific prep!

Big rep PR today - 10 x 60kg on the seated barbell press. (I have to do seated because my garage is too low for standing!)

After pressing, 4 rounds of this giant set thing:
Squat: 5 x 105kg
Chins: 8
Deads: 5 x 125kg

Some tricep extensions and face pulls.

I've written myself a new programme that is working well so far - one main lift per workout (front squat, OHP, bench, deadlift) and then a giant set of 3 big lifts at sub-maximal weights. It should help me lose 2-3kg of lard while maybe even getting slightly stronger.

Rubbish excuse tongue out It's cold, but I still manage the walk to my gym.

As for lifting once a week it's just really not enough frequency. But if that's you're only option, maybe just do a monster big three workout once a week and then cardio/calisthenics.

My best guess is that you'll get weaker and fatter if you workout just once a week. Twice would be vastly better.

If it's just a few weeks, couldn't you come up with a bodyweight routine: press-ups, tricep dips etc

Dang, that would be impressive. I guess your huge leap in bench helps.
