Cheers everyone.

Ended up winning every event biggrin
1st event I won by 12 reps as everyone else zero'd which is a shame but was pushed on other events, especially the medley where I won by a plate width!

Ha!
I could've made it easier for myself but really wanted to push myself too and see where I'm at.
Needed 320 on the deadlift to win, the holds I won both by about 10 seconds but had targets I wanted to hit as a minimum.
The medley, I should've picked the 2nd implement up instead of turning around first to save time but it's all a learning curve smile

A fun day though, lower back is fried now.

wel done, smiff!

My deload starts this week, really looking forward to it. biggrin

Jamie, the 20.4 one, are there people who can actually complete that? A fella I watch, travis forged warrior attempted it (he's really strong/athletic) and he flaked on the 122kg clean, I've watched a few now

One of the PTs in the gym, I assume he's done the full 20.4 based on what he's said?
I can ask him tomorrow though if you want.

+1 He was leaning against something whilst holding the 25kg plate, cheater. I could do that with 30kg hehe

Well done Ben! Very impressive.

Yeah, after reading the blurb that's it, he had time and the pep for two, that's impressive. THere's 3 more at that weight, then 30 pistols and then 5 C&J at 142.5kg. I'm wondering if anyone can do that

I think 142.5kg is around his max so he's out but that's some serious weight!

Yeah it is, and that's not even thinking about everything that went before it!

Hey,

‘Some’ people have completed it. But we’re taking the most elite in the world!

Noah Olsen completed it in 16:41 which is mental!

The top guys in my gym got to the 275lbs bar but no one lifted it.

I was third placed and did 165 reps. Which means I managed 5 clean and jerks at 225lbs.

The most juiced in the world. biggrin
I couldn't even try it as I can't pistol.
Still not done 20.1, I didn't know there was a 1 week limit

Ha or that! Juice or no juice it’s still mental!

I have short limbs so find pistols / handstand push ups relatively easy!

I’m not signed up online - it’s a waste of money. My gym does their own 5 week competition where we are all in teams (all judged to the same standard as the open). Brilliant fun

Well done smiffy! Training going surprisingly well considering present circumstances, somehow the strength is actually going up despite all the meds that I’m currently on, one thing I will say is that exercise is the best therapy!

Deload week - legs yesterday - always feels weird not pushing hard - did the same as usual but only to 80% with a longer warm up and lots of decent stretching afterwards with the extra time.

Used a trap bar for the first time yesterday. Lifted slightly more than my BB PB, but it felt quite different, especially at the top of the lift. Back didn't feel as fully engaged as usual.
Yeah quite different. I prefer it now, I think it’s the grip position I prefer more than anything else, it feels more secure.

I'm not so keen; too knee-ey.

The trap bar is an awesome bit of kit, imo.  I love it.

Having said that a lot of people fall into the trap (!) of thinking it’s a direct deadlift replacement.
