Great few days of training, lots of swimming, around 1km per dip, sessions at the gym are fab at the moment as thanks to lockdown all my niggles have healed, lovely to train pain free, broken ribs are now fully healed about 5 weeks ahead of what my dr predicted. Little update pic.

Nice work!

Yesterday 5,5,6 @115kg strict press PB.
First 2 sets were utter crap but I've got a new bar and couldn't get it to sit right or anything so I'm blaming that laugh

Loverly swim last night, huge swell making for a proper roller coaster ride, then 145 pull ups off my bar at home, going to gym soon to do shoulders, then back in the water for a sunset swim.
Out of curiosity what were your pullup sets? I've just done 103 - started off with a 15 and finished with a 4!
They were done as 14 sets of 10, first set was 5 as a warm up, however I took plenty of rest between sets, also my weight has dropped enough to make pull ups a lot easier.
I might try a diet. biggrin

I remember 20s were possible when I was 1/2 a stone lighter. Strawberries and cream have been my downfall.
Don't be such greedy guts then young man!
biggrin Still with the strawberries and cream most evenings, however I managed 118 pullups in the same sets (12) as last week when I got to 103. Biceps rather pumped.

How the hell do you fellas build the sort of strength and endurance to do that many pull ups in sets of 12. I'm lucky if I can 1 good set of 10 on my rings.

I’m good for 15 or more reps in a set but I’m toast after 4 sets of 10.

I think I may just be a pussy.

I was trying to be strict, but maybe next time I'll cheat a little at the end...

With strict pressing, I'll keep it strict all the way, until it gets to the point where you arrived at, and if it's the last rep in a maximal effort set like that, I'll sometimes engage a bit of leg drive to get it up.

Then next time try to get it sans leg drive. It's sometimes better to cheat a little than fail completely, even from a psychological perspective - imo.

Warmed up for 2km, then alternated fast running (3min/km) and jogging (5min/km) every 200m for 3km.
