Was feeling pretty broken all day so I wasn’t expecting much this evening….worn out, forearm is very tender and generally knackered.

Managed about 75% of my upper session…what I did do went well, matching my last upper numbers.

Don’t like leaving anything on the table but knackered is knackered.

We all get like that mate, I'm absolutely shattered too.
Getting an early night and will hit it harder tomorrow.
Got to listen to your body.

Today, beautiful weather here so out on the road, just about an hour with a few hills, 33kph avg, legs feeling good without going crazy, no need to push hard right now, my strength from Zwift is being carried over to the road which is nice, swim as well, a different bay today, on our south coast which is stunning, had the whole place to myself all in all very happy with how things are going

Yeah, it's definitely saying it needs a break ha. Sounds like you do too.

I rarely crash but I'm also aware that I'm doing a lot, on not a lot, 4 x resistance, 2 x cardio and 1 x BJJ plus the min 10k steps makes recovery times inconsistent and rare. Might not be a lot for some on here but I'm still building my fitness up.
Consistently strict with my 1580kcals per day, with all macros on point, except fats. They are a little lower than they should be but that will be reconfigured this weekend.

Getting to the last few lb of this cut now...Don't like to put a figure as It's rarely right so i'll be conservative with 4-8lb.... The championship rounds.

Next 3 month program starts Monday...Wil see what's in store this weekend.

StairMaster tonight, which I don't mind to be honest. Watch some boxset on my phone and zone out for an hour hehe

Wife has been on nights so couldn't get in until Wednesday, penultimate PT session.. pull ups weren't wide grip they were neutral grip but I was chuffed with them!

Last night was Bench night, been having a niggle on my left elbow/tricep/forearm so just couldn't do Lat raises.

I had bother with that intercostal pain again in the gym last night, had to cut session short. Weirdly the pain has moved from the back round to the front. Eased off mostly now but just gonna do some sprints again on the Zwift tonight and have a hot bath, leave lifting 'til tomorrow. Hopefully be able to finish yesterday's session then my planned session.

Catch 22 in the sense of if I do train, it hurts and I don't train well. But if I don't train then I don't train and I was supposed to be prepping for a little mini-comp in middle of Dec. If it's not right after the weekend I'm just gonna drop out and then start on my hypertrophy plan I had ready for the festive period.

Kind of annoying but hardly the end of the world, all things considered. Training just feels 'bitty' at the minute which I hate. I need routine.

Currently hatching a plan for where I wanna be in 2027.
I was getting loads of niggling pains pretty much as soon as I turned 50. Doing cryotherapy, proper ice bath and saunas most days helped, but the transformative thing for me was stating Yoga and Pilates. I've been doing both once a week since January and it's been night and day in terms of avoiding aches/pains etc. Even corrected previous injury caused pain.

When I feel like that I make sure I take a couple of Magnesium Bisglycinate tabs and some electrolytes before bed. Always gives better restorative sleep.

Well I'm 32 so don't have that excuse haha. It's just a standard injury that will heal, nothing serious or ongoing. The fact I haven't popped a hamstring or bulged a disc yet is pretty good.

Did pilates for years and always recommend it to others. Don't have the time for it now and also it was really hard. Dreaded every session but always felt better after. I think I did some kind of hardcore version, it was brutal. Still decent with my stretching and stuff now.

I wish I'd started both when I was 32....!!

Unfortunately I don't have access to daily saunas and ice baths so I'm probably just gonna sling on some ibuprofen gel, throw some heavy weights about and hope for the best.

I never sleep particularly well, always waking throughout the night.
Lately I've been using this:

Sleep Support Supplement – Applied Nutrition plc https://share.google/A9fVlarCOfbaMo63v

Its been making me sleep much deeper with less waking.

Today, really good shoulder and back session at the gym, standing overhead press from the floor, using the fat bar today, really testing my grip on clean part of the movement, any way 4 reps with 70kg was the best I could do today so pretty happy, followed by loads of pull ups in various guises, then some muscle ups, L sits and some ring work, then an hour and forty minutes on Zwift and a swim to cool off.

Had a very early night last night which was needed. Up early for a long walk with my boys then hit the gym for my push session.
Felt energised having a good sleep but my forearm held me back from making full use of the session but still enjoyed it.

Finished off with 30min of drills on the mat to get the sweat going.

On the way home I Loaded up with ibuprofen gel, deep heat and some cement to harden the F up hehe

Mrs came to gym this morning which is a massive step for her and will hopefully become a habit. Just put her through a twenty minute basic workout and she is enthused about coming back.

Went out for quick 35 minute bike ride this afternoon, geez it rides much better with the right amount of air in the tyres smile

Another pound off, 17st 12lb. Going to try and up my cardio and get as low as I can before Christmas then challenge 100kg in New Year.

Today, brutal back and grip session, 100 pull ups with a 20kg plate off a super thick rope, hands were screaming by the end, then some plate flips and an all out 25 rep body weight pull up.

Then 100kms on Zwift done in 2hrs 30mins, nice and steady, swim was done just after 6am.

Full body yesterday.

Today 80km on Zwift and couple of hours walking.

Always good to be striding up a very steep hill with normal breathing and everyone else is blowing out their arse.
