Nice pull session today after work, loads of supersets

30 mins treadmill this morning

Hammer curls into lat pullover x 3
Clos grip chin ups into forearm curls x 3
Single arm cable row x 3 went heavy on this
Preacher into shrugs x 3
100 situps

I've made some changes to food in last 2 weeks and seem to have hit a sweet spot, BW coming down nicely and gym sessions still feel great.
Nice on the food balance, it's good when things come together after some tweaks.

Up most of the night as my mouth would not stop bleeding. Feel like I've swallowed and spit out litres of blood, which obviously I have not, but the extraction point is not clotting so back at dentist shortly for them to fix this; dressing, stitch, I don't know...anywhere I've been sitting looks like a murder scene and I'm feeling very queasy, presumably with swallowing blood....

....not a good day, and yes, another one off work...

I can't work out a bloke at the gym. He's always there when I'm there, I've worked out over the months he gets there about 4.30pm and is always there when I've left so that's around 7pm, seven days a week, so he's doing hours every day. Fair enough, not my thing but here's the kicker; he only trains chest. Every day, a couple of exercises, set after set for hours. He doesn't hang around, he gets on with it so fair enough but chest, everyday and I'm talking many months.

Today, was shoulders and legs, for shoulders it was hammer strength, a few warm up with 100kg felt a bit crap, came around eventually to do two bigs sets of 5 with 138kg weight moved better than last time so that s good, no need for anything else after that

Legs 4 sets of leg extensions full stack then a 20 rep squat with 100kg, then my finisher 30 of pull ups dips chin ups and press ups.

Then a solid hour on Zwift with some big efforts thrown in towards the end.

Legs today here too. I don't really squat heavy anymore, just doesn't feel comfortable and perhaps confidence gone with it a bit.
Just keep it lighter and focus on hitting depth.

30 mins treadmill this morning

Barbell squats 4 sets
Rdl 3 sets
Bw lunges 3 sets
Calfs 3 sets
75 situps
60 rope crunches

Farmers and sandbags for me today. Pretty decent session, heart hasn't been in this last block of training though.

Feet up, logs on the fire, can of sugar free Tango and the Arnold Strongman Classic on the telly. Bliss.

Another Gi session tonight..1 hour technical followed by 1 hour of rolls. 5.5 hours of mat time this week, pleased with that.

Rest tomorrow.

Enjoy your weekend all.

Have been hitting/surpassing reps/weight targets for the last few weeks but just not 'feeling' strong. Today it all came back and feel really good.

A few more reps added to tricep dips so need to add the weight.

First race in two months on Zwift. Maxing out for that long felt strange, along with the power spikes, but the training has paid off. 10th out of 200+ in one of the Zwift Game races which are very competitive.

Highlight for me this week has been pressing.
140kg x3 axle clean and press with a 2s pause in the dip as my top 3rm with a bit of room to spare on Monday.
5x1 @147.5kg "blast press" (basically a push press from safeties but you drive into the bar rather than taking the weight first) today.
Next week I get a feeler on deadlifts via a 3rm deficit so we'll see where I'm at there. Just the mental side holding me back still with deads.

Went up to bed just after 4pm yesterday and slept through on and off. Bleeding has stopped thank goodness, no 'toothache' but I feel like I've been hit in the face with an iron bar. Tender doesn't cover it.

Unexpected and doubtless short term consequence is that Thursday was a fast day, and Friday also became a fast day through necessity. I've had two protein shakes and three Alpro yoghurt over the last 50 hours, and not much water yesterday due to the constant bleeding...

15st 2lb this morning, a weight I'm not recording but almost fell off the scales when I read it...6lb loss in two days. Just shows how much water weight we carry.

Cracking morning so far. 1 hour treadmill and then checked weight, 177.9lb.
Haven't been this weight since my early 20s.....

Then popped down to work gym and did a really good push session. Nobody else around, music on loud, felt awesome.

Cable fly x 3 into single arm cable extension x 3
Cable laterals x 3
Low incline chest 70kg x 8, 70kg x 8, 110kg x 8, 110kg x 8, 130kg x 6
Shoulder press 70kg x 8, 90kg x 8, 90kg x 8
Forearm curl x 3
Rope extension x 3
75 situps
45 knee raises

Keep thinking I look small when in baggy gear, but trusting the process. On track for being best shape of my life for summer.
