Garmin Connect
Discussion
I find Garmin Connect to be a little devoid of other users (I've got no friends) so I've set up a Pistonheads group

I bought SWMBO a Vivofit for her Christmas (she'd asked for a fitness tracker!) but the Android version of the Garmin Connect app doesn't seem to work - I see from the reviews on Google Play that other people seem to be having the same problem. Has anyone else managed to successfully connect a Vivofit to a Samsung mobile recently?

I only use Garmin Connect to upload data

I'm on Strava from my cycling days, but I quite like the challenges from Garmin Connect. We're up to 8 members so far, must be more users on here!Strava is much more widely used for the social media side of activity tracking/sharing/showing off
Another Garmin user here... just moved to a Vivosport from a Vivosmart HR, which I had for 2 years.
Not explored the groups / challenges thing at all - what’s the benefit?
As someone who doesn’t run (dodgy knees) I tend to walk a lot and use the cross trainer at the gym, so hadn’t really considered the challenges of relevance as everyone seems to be a runner or cyclist.

I just joined up too! Tend to find any inspiration to push on a bit is always welcome! Decided 2018 is actually the year to start cracking on and get back to racing Mountain Bikes a bit, but with the fitness to do it properly rather than puffing at the back!
Started CrossFit too, which I am enjoying a lot more than I thought I would, always thought it was a bit culty!

Personally i’m Happy with steps - but then I walk everywhere and only really get a chance to get to the gym two or three times a week. I don’t run (dodgy knees) and only use a bike to cycle to the pub in summer
Looks like we might have a few runners and cyclists - so if it’s not too much effort, probably good to keep challenges going
