Hi just came across your post. I suffer from PET both ears for about 5 years now. Looking at the injections with Dr Bottrill. Sounds that that is what you have had now on more than one occasion.
How have you found it I see from some of your earlier posts that it has been a mixed bag. Has it improved any over time

At the moment I believe that there is a very long waiting list for the injections as the equipment used is damaged and they're having a difficult time replacing it, which isn't what I wanted to hear.

I find it tends to last up to 5 years, and then another top up is needed. I have recently had a grommet fitted to my right ear as it was full of glue after a cold. While I can now hear again, the PET has returned.

If it gives good relief for 5 years then it would appear to be worth it even if a topup is required after that. Horrible condition I have had all sorts of tests and no obvious reason why it happens. Started in left and about 1 year later the right started. Met Dr Bottrill about 3 years ago and he told me of the options although I see he now seems to offer other surgeries in addition to the injections.

It does suck. I've had it for 22 years and it was fine until 9 years ago. I'll be seeing Mr Bottrill soon so I will have to ask about the alternatives.
