Personally, I haven't seen any positive changes by using any of the popular supplements that are recommended on forums online such as CBD oil and resveratrol. The only supplements that have worked for me are melatonin and vitamin D (got them from here https://www.vitaminexpress.org/uk/. Ever since I started taking them I have noticed that I am much more energetic during the day and I don't feel like slinging on the couch after work. I have actually picked up a few hobbies as a result of having energy after work and I wouldn't trade the experience for anything! But even then, I don't think everyone needs melatonin and vit D. So essentially I'm just saying that I don't think supplements are the magic cure to all problems in life. They sometimes are if you are trying to treat something specific with them but if you're expecting general changes then I don't think supplements are the right option.

Depending on your age, Co-enzyme Q10 is a useful supplement. The body makes it naturally but as you get older it’s less efficient at making it so supplementing it helps. I take it daily and find my energy levels are really good. It is also beneficial for other things, one of them being helping fight against gum disease.

I've been advised to try this as it reportedly helps some people with ADD and ADHD with maintaining focus and motivation which I've been struggling a lot with of late. It might be helping; too early to say.

Thread revival, wondering if there are any positive experiences here as it’s become more popular?

I had a accident 1 year ago. Three broken ribs, punctured lung and shattered sternum/clavicle. It’s been sore to say the least.

I’m absolutely tired of prescription pill popping and would very much appreciate any pointers on where to get some natural relief if at all possible.

Tramadol and Palexia play with my mind and really aren’t long term solutions!

Thanks in advance.

I paid over £100 for what is supposedly the highest legal strength bottles you can buy (two drops under the tongue) for sever anxiety and I can report it has done sweet FA.

Can’t comment on the pain relief side of things.

Thanks I’ve bought a few and have found the same! It’s supposed to be great but not sure what to believe.

I've used cbd in a vape on and off for a couple of years, some seem to take the edge off of anxiety better than others.

The best one I've had recently though was a cartridge I bought while I was in Canada, I missed the 20% thc content of it on the packaging.... was very mellow and slept very well that night sleepwhistle

Can anyone recommend any CBD oil for osteo-arthiritis and/or depression? Nothing seems to be working for my elderly mother.

Anyone tried getting prescription weed instead?

That definitely works for aches and pains, not sure about anxiety though. Pretty sure you can get it on prescription in the U.K. these days. Alternatively it’s easy enough to find online, albeit needing to pay using BTC.

For aches and pains it’s the THC that’s more effective than CBD, IMO.

Sativex is available in the UK but tends to only be for spasticity in multiple sclerosis

Epidyolex is also on prescription but only approved for Dravet syndrome & Lennox-Gastaut syndrome

It should never be prescribed for chronic pain as per https://www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ng144

...and the reason for not prescribing thc/cbd for chronic pain is because a clinical trial showed it wasn't significantly different than placebo in cancer patients

I can confirm the few I’ve purchased don’t do anything for me..

Gummies from Amazon taste ok but zero effect on pain!

Try a 20 or 30% oil or pure CBD paste, gummies don’t have a lot of CBD in them. I get use the 10% Oil to help me sleep, a mate of mine uses the same supplier as H&B and so it at a good price but H&B currently have an offer on.

I don’t know if it’s placebo but I’m sleeping very well since I got it!

Cheers for the heads up!

No worries, take a magnesium supplement with water before you take the CBD oil and you may find it helps you sleep even better. That’s what I do.

Funny you say that, my friends elderly dog had dementia towards the end and CBD oil most definitely calmed her down.

She may have been sedated but it definitely helped!
